You're still just buthurt after all these years because I don't like your trendy metalcore crap. Get over it.

Hail of Bullets is generic, but I'll take them any day over your gay ****.

Nostalgia 09-21-2008 03:25 PM

mappy is probably the least trendiest person here. everyone thinks his music is **** and he still has no shame in it.

salute.

hismajestythepope 09-21-2008 03:26 PM

music can be trendy and still be good you dumbass, youre just too caught up in trying to be ultra-true-metal and just come off sounding like some tool from ultimate-guitar or a death metal chat on slsk

hismajestythepope 09-21-2008 03:29 PM

you should check out sonic syndicate dude, theyre really boring and generic and 100% pure metal

FatalEnergy 09-21-2008 03:33 PM

I just don't like metalcore.

I don't understand why that's so hard to grasp. I don't try extra hard to hate it or something.

As far as trendy music goes, for the most part it always licks ***.

Notable exceptions would be classic rock in the 70s and Judas Priest and what not in the 80s.

RiceMonster 09-21-2008 03:35 PM

Nah, a lot of classic rock in the 70s sucks too.

FatalEnergy 09-21-2008 03:36 PM

True, but a lot is still good.

I love Pink Floyd. Led Zeppelin sucks.

hismajestythepope 09-21-2008 03:38 PM

oh wow, the standard try-hard response

**** ZEP BUT YEAH PINK FLOYD WOOO

you are just so artistic

FatalEnergy 09-21-2008 03:39 PM

hismajestythepope 09-21-2008 03:40 PM

Obituary this Sunday. Pretty excited for that.

masscows 09-22-2008 06:02 PM

Obituary/Unleashed?

Would be a fun show but none of the dates are close to me

How was Carcass/Suffocation?

Nostalgia 09-22-2008 06:10 PM

Was great. Aborted were absolutely terrible - I don't know how anyone can enjoy that. But Suffocation was great and as was Carcass.

Carcass' guitars cut out some though and 1349's sound was completely ****ed. I'm pretty sure you could have had a conversation through their whole set and heard everything pretty well.

masscows 09-22-2008 06:13 PM

ha I haven't heard anything positive about Aborted on this tour

gonna google suffocation's setlist quick

ugh can't find it

rattlehead42147 09-22-2008 06:37 PM

how much pre-Necroticism material did Carcass play?

 wtf positive could there be to say about Aborted in general?

Dimmu Burger 09-22-2008 07:00 PM

How was Rotten Sound?

pate 09-22-2008 07:00 PM

Goremageddon is a good album. Beyond that I don't care about them.

Who was on drums for 1349, if you know? When I saw them with Celtic Frost and Sahg in '06 it was Tony Laureano. lol fat guy

Dimmu Burger 09-22-2008 07:02 PM

Fat guy can drum though.

masscows 09-22-2008 07:11 PM

hilarious and relevant

**** tsjuder though

rattlehead42147 09-22-2008 07:13 PM

agreed on both accounts, tsjuder blow.

They played 3 songs from Symphonies and like 2 from Reek.

Show was ****ing great though, I was 1 person back right in front of Jeff Walker the entire time, they sounded awesome and pretty much every song they played ruled, highlights were Inpropagation, Carnal Forge and Exhume To Consume(probably best song of the night).

Suffocation were immense as well, they had such good stage presence and played so tightly, the title track off of Pierced From Within was elite as hell, so was Infecting the Crypts.

But yeah, Aborted blew and 1349 were boring as hell, and Rotten Sound didn't even play. And yeah that fat guy was on drums for 1349.

masscows 09-22-2008 08:10 PM

Infecting the Crypts \m/

Deth 09-22-2008 10:12 PM

I listened to Reincremation today at the student union and it reminded me how awesome Suffocation are again. Lotta black people at the union that time of day though, it must be said.

lotta black people in suffocation too.

FatalEnergy 09-22-2008 10:20 PM

It was a little different when I saw them in SF on Friday.

Jeff's between song banter was pretty amusing.

Deth 09-22-2008 10:21 PM
lotta black people in suffocation too.
That comforted me.

Angmar 09-22-2008 10:23 PM

Yeah Jeff was pretty amusing, but I couldn't understand half of what he was saying.

That's cause he's from Liverpool. I don't think I'm going to bother going to see Carcass. None of them are into death metal anymore - it's just for $$ and nostalgia.

FatalEnergy 09-23-2008 03:53 AM

I like nostalgia.

masada 09-23-2008 05:40 AM

you guys should be thankful that rotten sound didn't play

DBlitz 09-23-2008 07:38 AM

Is there any other Immolation worth getting? I love Close To A World Below and want to hear more from these guys.

masscows 09-23-2008 07:39 AM

All of them except Harnessing Ruin

Close to a World Below>Dawn of Possession=Unholy Cult>Failures for Gods>Here In After>Shadows in the Light>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>Harnessing Ruin
