fever ray- fever ray
dunno about the JAMC comparison but it has Beach Boys harmonies and Elvis Costello vocals. actually i take it back. it's not terrible, it's soulless.

listening to the new TNV, it's real good so far.

'****ed Up Friends' is really good. Just as good as other Black Moth Super Rainbow stuff. I'll have to check out that Neon Indian album.

yeah the neon indian ep is kind of forgettable, deadbeat summer is by far the best track

YourBiggestFan 08-27-2009 10:19 AM

rly?
'should have taken acid with you' has been like, my jamz this summer.

wang masta flex 08-27-2009 10:30 AM

holy shazam.. i am listening to sonic nurse for the first time today, downloaded it this morning and i'm listening to it goin around to class and ****. it's ****in amazing, such a cool sound. and when i mean cool i don't mean generically good, i mean . i'm on Stones right now. Dripping Dream and Pattern Recognition are my favorite so far. Unmade Bed sounds like pre-Minus The Bear... anyone else hear that in it?

btw this is definitely a lot like The Eternal. especially thinking this in New Hampshire

pixiesfanyo 08-27-2009 02:13 PM

minus the bear was already around.

oh damn sonic nurse was 04 .... i assumed it was a 90's album. still kinda sounds like them a bit ...... just the first half though. and just the guitar. whatever not really

anyways last night i won unwound's s/t LP for $20 on ebay... i bid on it a long time ago and was almost positive i'd get outbid since that lp usually goes for like 40-60 ... helllls yea so i've been listening to that today too.

last time i tried to update my ipod it wiped it out so ive just had a couple albums i put on manually for the past couple days:

unwound - unwound
fugees - blunted on reality
fugees - the score
the bug - london zoo
pere ubu - dub housing
sonic youth - sonic nurse

You won't be able to hear anything farther than ten feet away for the next two weeks after that show

I saw My Bloody Valentine last month and there is seriously no possible way that I will hear any concert louder than that in my life.

might not be a good idea to see both bands so close together :(

I won't argue against that. Someone should see those two bands and Mission of Burma in a span of a month to see what that would do for their hearing.
