I never hated metalcore.
|
oof.
|
i love metalcore. as i lay dying are my favorite
|
I never hated it too.
I really like Killswitch Engage and As I lay dying. |
Personally my favorite Metalcore bands are Converge, Poison The Well, and Botch
|
A lot of my favourite metalcore bands usually add something new to it. Hm.
Cursed (metal and hardcore, so mathematically they're metalcore but they dont sound too much like others of the genre) Curl Up and Die (lots of grind, sort of like Converge musically though) Converge Between the Buried and Me (okay, this is really, really questionable. Not much metalcore in their sound at this point but wtf ever). Poison the Well (Okay, I've only heard YCBY but I love it) Glass Casket are pretty solid Every Time I Die (Hot Damn!, Last Night In Town) The End (Mathcore, wtfever) Botch Buried Inside etc etc etc |
I like Converge too. I thought many times to listen to Poison The Well, but never took the time to listen to it.
|
why don't you like as i lay dying?
|
BtBaM is awesome, but I agree. Questionable in the -core department.
|
love converge. like botch. dillinger escape plan is alright. unearth is cool. horse the band is even cooler. that's really about it.
edit: oh yeah, love BTBAM too. and if underoath is metalcore, i love define the great line. |
Every Time I Die is great, BtBaM is awesome, but i agree. Questionable in the -core department.
I was thinking today, i really don't know if I would consider Converge metalcore. I mean, they fit the description perfect, metal meets hardcore, but they don't sound like metalcore, or what it has become known as i guess.
That's only because most people think metalcore is limited to generic second-wave bullshit like norma jean (sorry mappy)
The Black Dahlia Murder.
I just consider them melo-death Oh and I forgot to mention Dillinger Escape Plan. One of my favourite bands but really dicey genre-wise. I'd say they could fall under metalcore. |
mathelcore
|
Check out The Opposite of December by PTW. Its such a great album by such a great band.
|

I only heard few songs of Unearth, but I like it. |
i love norma jean too
|
If you don't like the genre, don't sit here and be sarcastic about it.
|
who are you to say what i like and don't like you faggot cunt ****** ******* ****ing piece of ****???????
|
That was very stupid.
|
faggot mallcore pig ****er
|
I love Converge, but that's all I really know.
I've been meaning to check out Botch though. |
Get We Are The Romans now Apoc. It's like essential.
I'll be the first to say that there's tons of good metalcore out there. Shadows Fall and Killswitch Engage though... no. |
A band like Converge and on the other end of the spectrum a band such as Killswitch Engage are pretty different...what defines a band as "metalcore"?
Killswitch is great. Their live show is amazing, but personally my favorite Metalcore bands are Converge, Poison The Well, and The Black Dahlia Murder.
converge, the black dahlia murder? Come on, that's not metalcore. |
converge, the black dahlia murder? Come on, that's not metalcore.
it's t3h mathcore and deathcore d00d. o_0 |
how is converge not metalcore
|
They are metalcore last time I checked.
All That Remains are pretty cool from what I can tell. And what's KsE's best album? |
There are some good ones out there
All Shall Perish, Their second album is more metalcore, the first was closer to death..
Killswitch Engage work, they've got their own thing mastered, Unearth are an amazing bunch of players, their drummer kills, there are a few others. God forbid have got great guitar players, their last album kicked ***. The problem with the genre is that it made it so big that now we have 50 killswitch wannabe’s and 50 other emo-core pop bands… |
The few Metalcore bands I listen to, I totally love. 7 Angels 7 Plagues and Botch are probably my favorite.
