Athom 09.15.12	hi, an actual staff member here. the entire staff side of this site is a lie. no one on staff "actually" reviews for this site per se. each staffer represents an editor from other review sites on the internet. the writings that don't make the cut from a staffer's site of employment are then submitted here and quickly tweaked and edited by jom to fit the profile before they end up on the review site. this can explain the mostly indie nature of the staff side of the site because we're mostly affiliated with sites like Pitchfork, Tiny Mix Tapes, Cokemachineglow, No Ripcord, Prefix and Slant. when a staff member quits it just means that his publication of origin is no longer contributing to the pool here at sputnik. Athom 09.15.12	The site I contributed from had its arrangement with sputnik terminated due to low output and diminishing quality over the last year or so, but it was a mutual understanding and I still browse the site from time to time because I get to keep access to the account until the end of the year when records close out. That's really about it.
