I've heard 4 NFG albums and almost all Deftones. In my humble opinion Deftones are more talented at channeling emotion through their music, their atmosphere is really enjoyable & a great soundtrack for smoking weed. New Found Glory is top-notch pop punk but doesn't does it for me. However, I diagree with all these fags 5'g / 4.5'g the new Deftones, it is good but not "that" good. For me it is a 3-3.5 max. Radiosurgery ruled. |

Although most people prefer the successful giant album Colors over this, I have found this to be better for a few reasons. In my opinion the song structure is much better here. The songs don't drag on as much as in Colors, and don't have an overburden of breakdowns like their first two albums. Selkies, All Bodies, and Backward Marathon are my top 3 on here, but all the songs including the instrumentals are strong and keep me interested over multiple listens.
Between the Buried and Me The Parallax II: Future Sequence
A new album, a new sound. Almost match Alaska with this album. Melting Cities chorus is the best they have every written imo. No weak spots other then Autumn instrumental.
