Acanthus
11.22.12 | I dig 15, but never ventured farther than that band in terms of the genre. | foxblood
11.22.12 | i need more Visual Kei, especially older stuff. i'll check these, thanks man | Captain North
11.22.12 | I swear, every visual kei vocalist sounds exactly the same | discovolante
11.22.12 | Acanthus: If you liked 15, you may like 12 and 4.
Fox: Glad I could help out, man!
Captain: Mitsuru from Sophia, Kyo from Dir en Grey, Kiyoharu from SADS, hide, Toshi from X, Tsunku from Sharan Q, Ryuichi from Luna Sea, Rolly from Scanch, Sceana from Kamaitachi, and Dynamite Tommy from Color all have unique vocal styles. | foxblood
11.22.12 | yeah kyo doesn't even sound human lol | discovolante
11.22.12 | Very true, fox. Very true lol. | Captain North
11.23.12 | Most visual kei vocalists I've come across sound exactly like kyo. He has bait more range than most, but the style is the same | discovolante
11.23.12 | Dude. You should check out Sophia, hide, Sharan Q, Luna Sea, Scanch, Kamaitachi and Color. Those guys are FAR from Kyo's style.
Buck-Tick and Dog in the PWO are two others that aren't in Kyo's field. | Captain North
11.23.12 | Hmm, ok will do then. Yeah, mostly I've heard like Versailles, Vivid, SuG, Phantasmagoria, L'Arc en Ciel, High and Mighty Colour, ...those sorts. Also, just realised I have Sophia on my iPod. I dunno man, he still sounds kinda like kyo. A bit more subdued, but it's the same singing style | kris.
11.23.12 | what a useful list
oh wait | discovolante
11.23.12 | Sophia, IMO, is more along the lines of Hyde's (L'arc en Ciel) vocal style. Only, it's a bit more high pitched. Sophia doesn't shriek and do nonhuman growls and whatnot lol. A much more straightforward band in comparison. | Captain North
11.23.12 | Well yeah, that's why I said singing. It's all the same style of inflections and weird tone. And I know it's not just how jap people sing cos I listen to a lot of other bands haha | discovolante
11.24.12 | I can see where you're coming from. Both those guys sing from the soul. But it's just when Kyo sings, he sings with ALL of his emotions, dark and light. But when Mitsuru from Sophia sings, he sings with a lot more of a light emotion. But they do both sing from the heart. |
