Which in Britain, I have snapped stuff up at 85% off without having to wait in line for hours (that right there would make sure I never attended a Black Friday) or being in the middle of the push and shove (that would seal the deal, I can't even stand moshpits).You just have to be a smart shopper.
As an example, I got a Carhartt jacket two years ago, discounted from 100+ pounds, for 30 - that's an 80 percent discount. I also got another jacket earlier this year, discounted from 25 pounds, for 5. That's an 85 percent discount. Both shops were relatively empty and quiet, and I simply stepped up, looked for my size, and took it to the till.
It's not so easy to do with electronics, but the UK has a couple of chains where you can buy secondhand consoles, games and phones for reasonable prices - and, again, without the hassle of Black Friday.
