Sputnik Prog Madness Grand Finale

This is it folks! Vote with the album name! The most vocal voters were for Red and Selling England by the Pound, but the majority voted for Pink Floyd's book-enclosed Wish You Were Here, and Yes's symphonic-prog masterpiece Close to the Edge! Wish You Were Here received 30 votes. Close to the Edge received 21. Selling England by the Pound received 18. And Red received 20 thanks to that last-second surge of Red voters.
1Pink Floyd
Wish You Were Here

Released in 1976, this is Pink Floyd second concept album dealing with camaraderie,
specifically with the departed Syd Barrett, and the music industry.
2Yes
Close to the Edge

Considered Yes's magnum-opus by many, and a pioneer of the sub-genre of symphonic-
prog, this album centers around the epic title track dealing with a spiritual awakening
inspired by Herman Hesse's book Siddhartha. It was released in 1972.
