Pearl Jam Ranked

Had a sudden urge of doing this list so here it goes
10Pearl Jam
Riot Act

My least favorite effort from PJ. I feel like the quality of the songs on this record is inferior to any other albums from the band, despite all of this it's still a nice listen, just not as entertaining as their other work. Favorites: Can't Keep, Save You, You Are.
9Pearl Jam
Backspacer

I was never too fond of the way this album sounded, more specifically I always preferered the 'garagy Eddie sound' rather than the 'ballady Eddie sound' and well the latter is the better description of Backspacer, unfortunately. However I cannot deny the fact that some of the songs on this record are brilliantly written; Just Breathe, Unthought Known, Amongst the Waves.
8Pearl Jam
Lost Dogs

Not a studio album but a collection of some great b-sides that could have easily made it to the a-sides due to their quality and that's why I decided to include it. Lack of consistency could certainly be seen as a negative aspect however it's made up by some incredible tracks which surely make many listeners wonder why they never made it onto the studio albums. Some of the best PJ songs of all time: Hard to Imagine, Sad, Hold On.
7Pearl Jam
Binaural

This one for me is tied with Yield which I'm sure some people may find strange. I always found the songwriting on this album unique and well executed. Favorites: Nothing as It Seems, Insignificance, Light Years.
6Pearl Jam
Yield

Perhaps I haven't given Yield enough attention but it never struck me as particularly impressive compared to some of their other work. Nevertheless the album flows very well and has some great highlights; Do the Evolution, Brain of J., Faithful.
5Pearl Jam
Pearl Jam

The album which to me is terribly underrated. The album manages to sound energetic and yet very emotional with songs such as for example; Gone, Come Back and Inside Job. Favorites: Come Back, Life Wasted, Inside Job.
4Pearl Jam
No Code

The most experimental side of the band, mixing interesting sounds and approaches. The only complaint could be the slight lack of consistency towards the end of the album (in particular the last 3 songs). Favorites: Present Tense, Hail Hail, Red Mosquito.
3Pearl Jam
Vs.

This one is basically tied with Vitalogy in my opinion. Probably the most energetic record in the PJ catalogue. Favorites: Glorified G, Dissident, Indifference.
2Pearl Jam
Vitalogy

Way less 'mass appeal' on this record compared to Ten or Vs., however this certainly is not a weakness. Vitalogy is very atmospheric and contains many of my PJ favorites; Corduroy, Spin the Black Circle, Tremor Christ.
1Pearl Jam
Ten

An album which was my introduction to PJ. Not much explanation needed. So many memorable songs on here and so much emotion conveyed through Eddie's voice. Favorites: Release, Black, Even Flow.
