JamieTwort 08.30.13	Gorguts on a beginners prog list? I know they have prog influences in their sound but still. I also wouldn't class 20 as an essential prog album. Nice list overall though.

SmersH 08.30.13	excellent list. beardfish [2] the void was brilliant. considering your honourable mentions, i'd personally switch out Fragile for Yessongs as the versions there are kinda superior... plus it's like a greatest hits as performed by the classic lineup. but yeah, Prog! and such!

TwigTW 09.01.13	"Turn to Stone" is a great song but maybe Out of the Blue is too easy. It's a pop album. A New World record is too, but at least the band has a little prog left in them at that point. I agree with Parallels. I think A New World Record is a better introduction to the band. Otherwise, an excellent list for beginners.

Jruined 09.01.13	I'd say One Size Fits All over Absolutely Free. Nice transition between original Mothers and the stuff Zappa did later. Early Mothers is cool/fantastic, but doesn't hold a coin to the lineup of Roxy era Zappa, not to mention the ideas that he was exploring with early mothers are more matured there.

WarmInTheWinter 09.01.13	I still don't know. Low just seems like anti-prog to me. I guess it's true that it is more interconnected than Bowie's other albums like a lot of prog, but the music just seems to stripped down and barren to me than most prog. Whatever though, I shouldn't complain. Every other pick on here is fantastic (Although the, possibly intentional, lack of Rush is disappointing).

TwigTW 01.25.14	An influence (especially on the second side) of Low is Tangerine Dream. Sputnik lists them as progressive rock, so you can make that argument . . . But progressive is one genre Bowie didn't really tackle. I would say Outside is his most Prog album, but others will disagree.
