if you HAVE to have a portable amp then go with what you have in mind. though this is a good desktop amp for people new to amps | Infections

I do need a portable amp, just due to the fact that I'm on the move 75% of the time, and I'd like to hear my music as optimally as possible. The JDS looks like it will fit my needs, usually I'm in one place or another for a week at a time for work or family so that sounds about right.
