Jaquith: 10 Worst Post Hardcore/Metalcore/Deathcore Bands Of The 2000s

Ending 01.20.14	My criticism: no need for a list like this, really. It's a fairly popular opinion across a lot of music websites that most of these bands really don't add anything particularly interesting to the music scene in general. Instead of focusing your efforts on creating a list that you think are the worst, try to focus on a subject that's more personal such as your personal top 10, personal top 5 from x amount of genres, or least favourite picks from a decade. Also you may want to delete the other five drafts you have of this list. Welcome to Sputnik!

And hey, at least you didn't barge in bashing TDAGARIM, OK Computer, Jane Doe, and Symbolic. That could've been riotous. @spookynewghostfriend ABR is way better than both of those bands.

For me, I only hold bands like ABR to a higher standard because I find them more fun to listen to and think that they are overall less stale. Not to say that they're the poster-child of creativity or anything, but I personally enjoy listening to/playing their songs more than other bands that would be considered similar.

Ending 01.20.14	@spookynewghostfriend That's understandable for sure and I sort of share that sentiment. People that jump on the "I hate/love this band because everybody else does" without even giving the band a fair shot aren't very respectable in my book either. And I think judging the music for something that is extraneous to that component is unreasonable, but disliking Falling In Reverse as a group and not an artist because Ronnie Radke is a dick is perfectly okay in my book. Obviously that's not the majority as you were implying, but I'm just adding my own perspective on the subject. @Jaquith Yeah ABR has some sweet jams especially off of Constellations. I learned Mariana's Trench way back in the day and when I could finally play it I was so amped haha.

Jaquith 01.20.14	@ending Sick I just got a guitar was it a difficult song, and personally i just think falling in reverse sucks his voice is unbearable and with that rap stuff hes implementing now is ugh and as for the rest of the band there nothing special.

Ending 01.20.14	@Jaquith It wasn't too tough but it's far from the first thing I'd suggest learning. If you're just picking up guitar my best advice is to practice good practicing. It sounds silly, but playing through all of your scales and honing your fundamentals (picking etc.) is the most beneficial thing you will do for yourself if you take it slow and steady, stick with it, and keep at it. Even when you're playing three years from now keep on it. I think FIR sucks too, but I was just citing that example of people disliking a band's music for reasons other than the music. His "rapping" isn't the worst thing ever but it doesn't mix well with the rest of the band at all.
