JamieTwort
02.28.14 | I think you'd definitely enjoy 1, Cap, as I see you've been jamming stuff like Temples and Unknown Mortal Orchestra lately (although it's much more adventurous than either of those). |
menawati
02.28.14 | was listening to that papir record last week pretty good, will check some of these for sure |
JamieTwort
02.28.14 | Papir's new album is great too, need to give it a few more listens but it's def one of the best psych albums I've heard so far this year. |

02.28.14 | Nice list JT. I need to take my time jamming, but maybe in the future I'll go over your lists and see if I find something I fancy. I know about Bardo Pond, but haven't jammed them much tbh. |
JamieTwort
02.28.14 | Glad you're enjoying it so much, zak.
Thanks danny. I noticed the other day that you'd rated (and written a soundoff for) Bardo Pond's Amanita, which was good to see. |

JamieTwort
03.01.14 | Haven't heard it in its entirety yet actually but the song 'Going Backwards to Recover What Was Left Behind' is fantastic. |

JamieTwort
03.01.14 | I'm sure you'll dig 8, Atari. |
Atari
03.02.14 | Sweet man, yeah I was thinking of checking the folk ones but trying to get more into ambient as well ;) |
JamieTwort
03.02.14 | Awesome, pleased to hear it. Both 4 and 6 are pretty easy to get into but if you want any specific 'beginner' recs let me know. |
rockandmetaljunkie
03.02.14 | Another eclectic list.
Where do you find the time to check all these Jamie ? |
JamieTwort
03.02.14 | It's not easy finding time for checking out so much music, in fact I don't really have enough time to check out as much stuff as I would ideally like to. The albums on these lists aren't always recent finds, some I've known for ages (that's not so much the case with this one though). |
KjSwantko
03.03.14 | Damn I don't know any of these, JT. Elite list. Will check some out. |
JamieTwort
03.03.14 | I definitely think you'll like 11, KJ. |
osmark86
03.03.14 | no Haggard? |
JamieTwort
03.03.14 | I only rec music I like ;) |
osmark86
03.03.14 | birdsong abundant doom ey? I'm officially curious |
JamieTwort
03.03.14 | Would be better with less birdsong to be honest. Excellent album though. |
osmark86
03.03.14 | I'm most likely bound to agree with you, that line just caught my attention. White Denim's sounding pretty shweet so far. |
JamieTwort
03.03.14 | The use of birdsong does make it standout from other albums in the genre at least.
Glad you're liking the White Denim album. |
KjSwantko
03.03.14 | Sweet JT - I'll listen to it today, thanks.
And sup Capt my metal brosef |
KjSwantko
03.03.14 | You paradoxical motherfucker you |

jefflebowski
03.03.14 | great list, that white denim album is phenomenal
bless the weather doesn't touch solid air though, that album is flawless |
KjSwantko
03.03.14 | It's OK bro, you've enlightened me enough trvth over tha yearz |
JamieTwort
03.03.14 | Thanks jeff.
"bless the weather doesn't touch solid air though, that album is flawless"
Gotta disagree there. Solid Air is anything but flawless. That album has a great atmosphere but the song writing is rather inconsistent and leaves a lot to be desired. Title track is brilliant though. |
KjSwantko
03.03.14 | Always, man. Evergrey will always be my #1.....hoping they can finally put out a great album again this year with the secret new band members. |
ThrashTillDeath94
03.03.14 | "you know i don't sleep on your recs Kill, I think I'm the only one that values your recs, its koo tho, well maybe sonic too butt he's mia"
Whatever happened to Sonic anyway |
jefflebowski
03.03.14 | 'Gotta disagree there. Solid Air is anything but flawless. That album has a great atmosphere but the song writing is rather inconsistent and leaves a lot to be desired. Title track is brilliant though.'
i think i may be biased because it's my dad's favourite record and he played the hell out of it during my formative years. the title track is indeed flawless though, isn't it supposed to be about nick drake?
on the subject of martyn, what's your opinion of inside out? i always had it down as one of his best but it seems to get less attention than his other three classics |
JamieTwort
03.03.14 | "the title track is indeed flawless though, isn't it supposed to be about nick drake?"
Yeah it is. Probably the best song he ever wrote.
Inside Out is great, definitely one of his best. I love the mood of that album. It sounds almost psychedelic which makes it stand out somewhat from the rest of his discog. |
lobstah
03.05.14 | Nice list here. I see a few things I need to check out.... |
Lord(e)Po)))ts
03.05.14 | in case i havent said it already
