03.07.14 | I love Mike Patton!
What about Chris Cornell? |

03.07.14 | Ars: I like Chris Cornell in Soundgarden. But his voice isn't one of my personal all time favorites. |

03.07.14 | Corgan? wow lol
3 and 4 are the best though yeah |

03.07.14 | Rowan: Say what you will about Corgan's voice, but it's definitely one of a kind. That's what I love about it. Also, I love the emotion in his vocals in some of the early Pumpkins songs. |

03.07.14 | As much as I like Prince and Smashing Pumpkins, I really don't consider Corgan or The Purple One to have been great vocalists.
Prince is a versatile artist, don't get me wrong, but his vox can get annoying at times. As for Corgan, he's a fantastic rhythm guitarist, but his vox kinda suck tbh. |

03.07.14 | I need to jam Bjork more, but she's pretty great from what I recall. |

03.07.14 | dannyboy: What I love about Prince is that his vocals can be so diverse. They can be quite high, or they can be quite low. Or even somewhere in the middle. That is what I love about his vocals, especially in songs like "Purple Rain" or "Love 2 the 9's". As for Corgan, I knew I'd get some flack for putting him in, but his vocals can be so emotional, and they are definitely one of a kind. I mean, when he sings songs like "Tonight Tonight", "Rhinoceros" or, even more so, "Disarm"... those are some precise reasons why I put him in my list. |

03.07.14 | Don't get me wrong, I like Corgan's voice on everything except Mellon Collie. He's especially great on Adore.
He has a decent voice but I can't deny its grating as fuck sometimes |

03.07.14 | Ehhh I don't know. "Tonight Tonight" was on Mellon Collie, and I think he does tremendous on that one in particular. I suppose when I'm not in the mood for that kind of music, it can be a tad grating. But overall, I am a huge sucker for the sentimentality and emotion in his vocals. |

03.07.14 | Tonight Tonight is probably my least favourite performance of his lol
I love him on Bullet with Butterfly Wings and the heavier songs like Tales of a Scorched Earth though |

03.07.14 | Corgan sang with passion and energy, I'll give you that. The way that complimented the rest of the music more than made up for his shortcomings as a vocalist. The same could be said about Prince, and about other bands with not-so stellar vocalists (Megadeth and Ozzy-Era Sabbath, for example).
But don't worry dude, it's your opinion and we can't all agree on stuff like this. |

03.07.14 | dannyboy: I suppose loll. Both Prince and Corgan have a similar undeniable aura to their vocals, I'll give you that.
Rowan: Ahhh I thought he was wonderful on "Tonight Tonight". Just the emotion of the song sends chills down my spine every time I hear it... and I must have heard it a few hundred times by now loll. |

03.07.14 | Patton is the only worthwhile one here |

03.07.14 | ^ Uh, Prince? Bjork? |
Necrotica
03.07.14 | Besides, Patton and John Zorn are really wasting their talents these days, most of their recent work consisting of the same vocal gibberish and saxophone squealies over nonsensical music that they're suggesting as 2deep4us |

03.07.14 | Sucks 'cause I enjoy them both a lot |
