| Albums I Didn't Like At First Because They Followed Up Classics
Self explanatory, any albums like this for y'all? | 1 | | The Antlers Burst Apart
Hospice is amazing. Burst Apart is different, i now adore both. | 2 | | The Lawrence Arms Metropole
I knew not to set my expectations too high, but I did. I realize it's pretty good now. | 3 | | Brand New Daisy
I hated Daisy. It just didn't match the same intensity and emotion as The Devil and
God. But i like it a lot more now, still not my favorite. | 4 | | Rage Against the Machine Evil Empire
It has some great songs, it just isnt as innovative and hard hitting as their first. | 5 | | letlive. The Blackest Beautiful
The production kills this one, but it has some of their best stuff, i was very
disappointed on first listen. | 6 | | Pearl Jam Vitalogy
Vs. and Ten are just so good, and this one let me down, even thought it has a lot
of good ideas. | 7 | | Kanye West Yeezus
This is not only very disappointing, but extremely overrated. MBDTF is a great
example of mainstream hiphop being good, and Yeezus just doesn't live up very
well. | 8 | | Led Zeppelin Presence
Six classic, timeless, brilliant albums, and then Presence. Not a great album. | 9 | | Soundgarden Down on the Upside
Not nearly as good as Superunknown. | 10 | | Eminem The Eminem Show
The Marshall Mathers LP is one of my favorite album of all time, and this album
comes nowhere close. The production is week, and the super poppy style he
eventually adopted is very evident here. | |

04.24.14 | Obviously classic is loosely used, and these are just my personal classics. | Roman
04.24.14 | I feel you on Daisy man.
I hated it at first but now I honestly prefer it to The Devil and God. | NakedSnake
04.24.14 | Trouble will find me.
Humbug, suck it and see
| SirDrumsalot
04.24.14 | Vitalogy is probably my favorite Pearl Jam album. For me, I feel they went downhill after that one. | BMDrummer
04.24.14 | Vitalogy is my favorite PJ as well. | mandan
04.24.14 | I'll prob never listen to Vitalogy in full again, but to each their own. I'd rather jam any of their other works.
9 has some of SG's best songs, but I find it inconsistent in comparison to SUK, BMF and LtL.
But that's my opinion. | sumyunguy
04.24.14 | Disagree completely on 8. Presence is fantastic. | YoYoMancuso
04.24.14 | it sounds like you still don't like a lot of these albums | mandan
04.24.14 | As for 8, Tea for One and Achilles rule, but don't care that much for the rest. | dh198
04.24.14 | Presence is great, but to me it's definitely not on the same level as their first six. I also like 2 a lot. | AliW1993
04.24.14 | The National - Trouble Will Find Me
Queens of the Stone Age - Lallabies to Paralyze
Interpol - Antics
The Smiths - Strangeways, Here We Come
All solid records in their own right, just not as good as those which came before them. | HenchmanOfSanta
04.24.14 | DotU has grown on me a lot over the years if only because of Pretty Noose, Blow Up the Outside World and Burden in My Hand. | JokineAugustus
04.24.14 | 1 is better then Hospice | PappyMason
04.24.14 | I actually like Yeezus better than MBDTF - especially the production.
Agree with 10, the Marshall Mathers LP was fantastic. And I really enjoyed 1 and 3.
| AmericanFlagAsh
04.24.14 | Anything by The Strokes after Is This It | ArsMoriendi
04.24.14 | Down on the Upside is my favorite grunge album of all time sooo...
Evil Empire is my favorite RatM album...
Presence is definitely my 2nd favorite Zeppelin (after Physical Graffiti)
I hate you all. Just kidding. but seriously : | postrockpaperscissor
04.25.14 | y'all need to calm down and worship Yeezus. | hahGAY
