climactic
09.29.14 | been wanting to make this for a while, had some time in between classes so why not. i tried to do each album justice |

MO
09.29.14 | fucking clim m/
kiiller list, but missing the grooviest groove they ever grooved. that off-time hat is just too much
http://youtu.be/lklU89L8sXs?t=3m13s |
KjSwantko
09.29.14 | Straws pulled at random is their best groove.
Two huge ones you missed are This Spiteful Snake 2:40 and the climax of I around the 17min mark.
Good list tho. |
Relinquished
09.29.14 | last riff in electric red and pravus intro tho |
climactic
09.29.14 | guys if i couldve listed all of them i would have |
Ignimbrite
09.29.14 | feature plz

I (10:33)
Demiurge (2:28)

Relinquished

climactic
09.29.14 | mmm..gouda |
beefshoes
09.29.14 | I did a cover of Perceptual Black Second yesterday. lol
Good list. I'd definitely include Straws Pulled At Random though, but the other picks make up for it not being here. |
Scoot
09.29.14 | 9 wins |
climactic
09.29.14 | @beef check number 5 dude haha |
beefshoes
09.29.14 | lmao the two artworks threw me off. |
climactic
09.29.14 | yeah i tried to make it a little more colorful, not very m/ of me |
Dis_Con_Nec_Ted
09.29.14 | wow no Stengah |
beefshoes
09.29.14 | Dun dun, dun dun dun, durrrr dun dun, dun dun dun, durr dun dun...ect m/ |
climactic
09.29.14 | stengah could have easily been on here but 1/4 of the list is already songs from nothing |
climactic
09.30.14 | thanks for the feature!!!!! static i can plug a little later tonight |
djunior
09.30.14 | I though |
MO
09.30.14 | "stengah could have easily been on here but 1/4 of the list is already songs from nothing"
with good reason tho, it's got the most amount of grooviest grooves they've ever grooved |
renegadestrings
09.30.14 | That part in Stengah where its like, ' nyeh nuh nyeh, nyeh nuuh nyeh, nyeh nuh nyeh, nyeh nuh nyeh nuh nyeh'
That part in Marrow where its like, ' berrrr berrr berr berrrrrr. bum buh dump bump, buh duh berrrr, berr berrrrrrr'
That part in I where its like, ' budduhbuh DEH budduhbuh DEHN budduhbuh DEH budduhbuh DEHN (sp)' |
TalonsOfFire
09.30.14 | You put a lot of stuff from C33 which I appreciate, but the best Meshuggah is the heavy outro of Sum. |
MO
09.30.14 | intro to Behind the Sun is among their grooviest as well |
bloc
09.30.14 | Needs the verse riff in Demiurge |
Spiral Skies
09.30.14 | Combustion is more of a thrasher but has some sweet grooves |
kyjelly
09.30.14 | I love the poop out of the mid/end section in obZen when there's just guitar, then Haake comes in with the
drum fill on the snare. When I first heard the album I thought that was the sweetest drum fill ever. |
aircycle
09.30.14 | where tf is entrapment |
tempest--
09.30.14 | fuckin sweet list honestly you could have put on every shuggah song although how is demiurge not here that song is just groove after groove |
climactic
09.30.14 | demiurge actually isnt one of my favs on koloss tbh, it grooves hard but drags on too long for its own good, the next koloss song on here for me would probs be colossus |
sumyunguy
09.30.14 | TalonsofFire said it, but the end-riff to Sum is like the fucking end of the world in sonic form. Probably my single favorite moment in their entire catalog. |
Thibs
09.30.14 | Suffer in truth m/ |
climactic
09.30.14 | dat fucking breakdown |
climactic
09.30.14 | dude woahhahahhahhhhhh |
someguest
09.30.14 | I like that one Meshuggah riff that's technical. |
CalculatingInfinity
09.30.14 | The best list, Meshuggah m/ |
Emyay
09.30.14 | got all the essentials here. nice work. rational gaze is probably 1 for me and dancers would be higher |
climactic
09.30.14 | thanks, the ranking is pretty arbitrary besides the few at the top |
wwba
09.30.14 | 1 is what got me into Meshuggah, my favorite part is guitar solo, the piano in the background (that you can barely hear) makes it even more epic |
climactic
09.30.14 | great solo. i think almost everyone got into them with 1, 3 or 15 haha |
Hyperion1001
09.30.14 | i should honestly try to get into this band, i think it would be something i could dig
the only song i really know is rational gaze cause it was on a headbangers ball CD i had when i was a kid and all i remember is the part where hes like I LIKE JUICE it used to make me laugh |
climactic
09.30.14 | their approach to metal (and music in general) is unlike anything else in existence, i'm convinced anyone who gives them a fair shot will eventually understand their genius |
KjSwantko
09.30.14 | That middle part in Spiteful Snake agreed. |
Hyperion1001
09.30.14 | well wolfe loves them and he is my bro so if he can find something to like im sure i can
plus im completely and totally bored with all forms of metal so hopefully this has something to offer that i cant find anywhere else. they seem like they go for rhythm/texture juxtaposition moreso than songwriting which i am more interested in these days anyways |
MO
09.30.14 | hyp man you could totally dig these guys. focus on the grooves maaahn, you'll be headbanging like a champ in no time |
DungeonBoy
09.30.14 | NYIT NYIT NYIT NYIT NYIT NYIT NYIT NYIT. awesome descriptions. Also nice to see sickening on here, not enough love for NONE. |
Hyperion1001
09.30.14 | gonna DL nothing when i get home and jam it hard
its leg day tomorrow might jam at the gym and let the endorphins speak to me |
DungeonBoy
09.30.14 | "hopefully this has something to offer that i cant find anywhere else" they absolutely do. Meshuggah are one of the most creative metal bands to ever exist. They are the undisputed masters of all things polyrhythmic. Make sure you grab a dictionary though if you are gonna follow the lyrics. |
BigPleb
09.30.14 | Amazing list.
Opening groove in Stengah tho. |
evilford
09.30.14 | cool list
by far my fav groove on C33 is the groove at 34 seconds in in death is life |
evilford
10.01.14 | also where the fuck is VANISHED |
beefshoes
10.01.14 | I jammed it. I prefer it slow tbh. : D |
MO
10.01.14 | "gonna DL nothing when i get home and jam it hard
its leg day tomorrow might jam at the gym and let the endorphins speak to me"
the only way to fucking do it right on hyp |
beefshoes
10.01.14 | I have an 8-string and a beard though. |
DotEight
10.02.14 | Thall. Sorry. |
climactic
10.02.14 | not forgiven |
climactic
10.02.14 | good meme dude |
Emim
10.03.14 | http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=N1vvayRpcEU
not the grooviest but damn well that double bass kicks in |
Hovse
10.03.14 | suffer in groove |
TrantaLocked
08.04.15 | In Death - Is Life makes me feel like a god. No other song has ever made me feel like what that song does. |
climactic
10.11.16 | bump bc recent meshuggah craze on here
i think TVSOR would have at least 3 spots on here if i re-did the list: clockworks middle section after that buildup, montrocity intro, and probably something in the title track |
evilford
10.11.16 | nice I barely remember this |
climactic
10.11.16 | m/ |
evilford
10.11.16 | m/ indeed |
