Gloom has a special place in the heart of mankind. It establishes order, influences the influencers, and it brings the best out in people. Comparing gloom and much of what has been written of it can be like comparing gloom and one's own image of themselves.
However, gloom should not be created by black. Black inspires bleakness and dark catharsis. Gloom is a more insipid colour that befits stagnancy (better captured by gray) than it does a color as dramatic as the full absence of light. |
