11.28.14 | Crying about it isn't going to fix it. Participate in more positive activity. Don't sit on your ass and think about your situation. When you find yourself doing that, go out and make someone's day. |

11.28.14 | You make it sound so easy, someguest. I want to better myself but I really feel stuck. Being positive alone isn't going to make my situation better. I need some sort of change but I don't know what. It's driving me crazy. |
someguest
11.28.14 | You have to do things. Change won't come dwelling on it. It's the best way I can say it for you. Meet new people, start a new job, volunteer, go on dates with chicks you dissed in high school, whatever. |

Thats great. The things I mentioned above really worked for me. There was a time when I was younger when times were really dark and I was very close to collapsing. I kept it positive. I think back to that time period and am thankful that I was able to make wise decisions. Tomorrow may be the day when it all turns around. Until then, one foot in front of the other and keep it moving.....positively.
Life isn't easy dude. |

11.28.14 | Actually it's not easier said than done, you just have to give yourself a huge kick in the ass and actually want to change. It is all about motivation. You won't feel good instantly but it will slowly come back. Been there a few times, right now I'm ok.
Stay off internet and go outside. |

11.28.14 | just do things is genuinely 100% the best advice in this situation from experience
most of the times ive found myself at the peak of my anxiety its cos im not doing anything with my days other than waste time on the internet and then when i actually force myself to do something productive or creative and work on my own projects i 1. stop feeling like shit every day and 2. remember why im actually passionate about the stuff i create and enjoy doing it a lot |
SAPoodle
11.28.14 | I've struggled with depression for many years and I also found that just making an effort to do shit really helps. Easier said than done, of course, but set yourself small goals like going to gym, writing a review, reading a book, listening to an album etc. and tick them off as you go along. You'll feel like you've really achieved something at the end of the day |

11.28.14 | Nah but really I've been down that road for 5 years now, and while nothing seems to matter. Just find joy in the little things, because they make all the difference. Whether it be good food, or company, or music, or anything. Just anything that brightens your day at all. |

11.28.14 | the thing to keep in mind is that in fact nothing matters and we will all die blah blah blah but you should look at that as a positive thing, nothing matters except the things and people you love so focus your life on those |

11.29.14 | Whats the alternative? You might as well live out of curiosity if anything |
Mongi123
11.29.14 | Dude you can't think like this. I'm gonna be blunt here: if you think that nothing matters in life, well, nothing will matter. It's all in how you live your life. Literally everyone in our lifetime is living until we die, but the truth is that life is a privilege. You need to do what makes you happy. If you hate your job, find a new one. If you're getting bored with a hobby, try new things. For example, I've finally started to get bored of video games, so I tried to read more books and now I love it! Ask yourself this: what really matters in life? Because honestly everything we do is just to get by until we die eventually. It's sad but true. You might as well just do things that you enjoy doing. I know, all of this is easier said than done. If you are truly unhappy with everything you are doing, then I suggest giving therapy a shot. It really can't hurt :) |
