Breakingthefragile's 2014 Of Whatever I Got Around To Listening To
At the start of this year, I set up this folder on Spotify which contained about 14
genre-specific playlists where I would drag and drop new releases in an attempt to
more efficiently organize and stay on top of what was coming out. I currently have
an estimated total of 545 hours of new music from throughout the year left in that
folder that I haven't heard yet, so I think it's safe to say that I failed miserably at
my plan to keep up with new album releases in 2014. Ultimately, college work and
my desire to listen to older music I hadn't heard before led to me coming up so
short of what I wanted to accomplish. However, I did hear and enjoy enough stuff
to make an end of the year list, so here's 50 releases that defined my 2014 in
music. These are albums, EPs, and basically whatever made this list amount to 50
items. Happy 2015 everyone!
Now to break reality and attempt to listen to the 545 hours worth of music that I missed out on before the first new releases of 2015 drop in two days from now. Seems feasible to me!
