riffariffic7 01.14.15	You got some great recommends here so far. Happy to see lots of great taste in horror here. Another I would recommend that's a B-movie "creature feature" parody is called Feeding Frenzy, a film made by the guys over at RedLetterMedia. If you're looking for a great horror related review from them, check out the Half in the Bag review of Evil Dead (the last 5 minutes or so are EPIC).
tempest-- 01.14.15	it's a classic so you've prob seen it but OG Texas Chain Saw Massacre is horrifying and awesome. maybe my fav horror film. idk if they're considered horror but at the time they were frightening - the universal monsters. really big fan of a lot of those films. of course you have those George A. Romero movies which are mostly awesome. also I'm realising that I'm a bit of a horror movie pleb. love '80s horror/comedies as well, Night of the Living Dead, Re-Animator, etc. need to watch them again because I didn't think much at the time but House of 1000 Corpses and The Devil's Rejects are highly praised. that's all for now.

Crymsonblaze 01.15.15	the more you show something, the scarier it becomes! it gives the audience a chance to examine it, so you want to get shots of it doing a wide variety of things. any horror movie in which the creature performs a musical is the scariest, because music is the doorway to the soul, and seeing the true nature of the creature is truly terrifying i don't know why more filmmakers don't capitalize on this

zaruyache 01.15.15	that's kind of the point of both films--the tension created by only seeing the horror and panic on the faces of the characters, and being on the edge of your seat about when something might pop out at you or scurry through the corner of the video. On the subject of Blair Witch though, Bobcat Goldthwait directed Willow Creek which is like the same thing with Bigfoot. Haven't finished it but it seemed decent so far.

Having it remade seems pointless especially considering it only came out like 10 years ago. Do they think they can cash in on Cabin in the Woods' recent box office success or something? This is like Old Boy all over again but shit isn't even foreign.

TychoBrahe 01.17.15	Yeah, the scene was disgusting. Ti West (House of the Devil) did the sequel. I was super psyched about it when I first heard he was going to be behind it but it was a bit of a let down. I guess he really got screwed over by the studio too, they basically changed the entire ending of the film according to him. Then again, although House of the Devil is a favorite of mine I don't feel like West has lived up to that with his other films.
