02.06.15 | cyg i didnt know you jammed country |
Cygnatti
02.06.15 | erm i kinda do. i mostly jammed a bit of the older stuff (willie nelson, merle haggard, doc watson) and then some 70s country pop/rock stuff too. i'd probably listen to more stuff if country had a goddamned audience in either sput or rym :/ |

02.06.15 | i recently jammed the new ryan bingham record (just on a whim) which wasn't really anything special but idk i liked it quite a bit |

02.06.15 | i used to hate the idea of country but i'm opening up to it a lot. definitely check out that sturgill simpson album and southeastern by jason isbell and some daniel romano tho. |
Cygnatti
02.06.15 | i guess i did too. hmm well i kinda fell in love with with folk and singer/songwriter last year and i guess suddenly country seemed much more appealing. |

02.10.15 | Both of Sturgill's outputs are great, in my opinion. His first full-length is more straight-forward, Waylon Jennings-esque. The second is more experimental, but fantastic in its own right. Jason Isbell's "Southeastern" is wonderfully written and ripe with emotion. Well worth a listen too.
Kris, I felt the same way about Simpson's latest, initially. But like you, once I warmed up to it, it was very hard to put down. This album offers so much. |

02.10.15 | Simpson is way good. glad to have found it |
