03.26.15 | Ugh. Same boat, She broke up with me a few days ago and cut off all contact after years of dating and seeing each other literally every day. Hurts like shit but I'm getting a little better. Try jamming Floor's Obilation on repeat, really loud...that album has worked wonders for me. Aggressive and uplifting. Being able to distance myself from emotion has worked wonders too...instead of wallowing in sadness, anger, and jealousy, I try to observe my feelings as if they were someone else, pseudo-objectively noting to myself that I'm feeling something and thinking about that feeling and why I feel it instead of letting it consume me. Oddly, I've found school to be way more comforting than being alone in my apartment, so I've been studying extra hard and staying at the library until very late at night. Watching good comedy helps too |
