04.01.15 | Used to jam Atmosphere until I just got kinda tired of Rhymesayer in general. Is there anything from the south that you really like, or on the west coast (considering these are all midwest/east coast releases)? | Fort23

04.01.15 | I've been listening to a lot of Boss lately (she only has one record, called "Born Gangstaz"). She's from Detroit but she went to Cali and recorded her CD, and it's straight West-Coast style gangster rap. I've also been gettin' down to Kendrick Lamar's "To Pimp A Butterfly", along with everyone. It's remarkable. I listen to 2Pac, but he's not a favorite of mine, but I recognize and appreciate his greatness. I listen to Hopsin too. Although I'm ashamed to admit, I've never listened to a full N.W.A. record. Just haven't gotten around to it. Never really noticed how my scope of the Hip-Hop I listened to is so much in the midwest/east. As for the south, I don't listen to any southern rappers, unless you count Hilltop Hoods (lol). | Fort23
04.01.15 | The souuuuuth is the best bru | Fort23
04.01.15 | Once you go south you never go back | SmartWentCody
04.01.15 | I'm not so sure I agree. I'm not going to pretend like I know much about it, but anything I've heard from the south is the kind of elbows up, mindless hype rap that I don't like. Like I said though, I don't know much about it. I'm ignorant about it, so if there are any stand-out artists, let me know, because I'd like to hear 'em.

04.01.15 | I also don't like Trap music. Eh. | Fort23
04.01.15 | Oh dude the south has just as diverse of music of other regions there's just a bias because Atlanta dominates club music and Miami has a long history of party music. Its all east coast west coast bias.you got OutKast, ugk, Lil Wayne, Gucci mane, goodie mob, mystikal, future, those starter legends. South highkey most productive region in rap | Fort23
04.01.15 | Not even just trap tho that southern fried funk that 36 mafia, Kevin gates | Let
04.01.15 | Totally agreed with Fort23, there's a ton of talent that's come from Memphis, Houston, and Atlanta, among others. And I'd say Three 6 Mafia (and their associated acts like Skinny Pimp and Project Pat) are the south's best representatives, and OutKast are great too. 3-6 and OutKast both make some really fun music, but OutKast has a concious side to them that I think you'd like.
