06.07.15 | Why are U2 so relatively unpopular here? | PunkMoon
06.07.15 | Because they openly want to be the biggest rock band in the world, and, right now, there's nothing less cool than that. Also they're old and trying to stay relevant, which is always a no-no in rock and roll. Also, tbh, they're coming off a very fallow decade with a lot of mediocre (and sometimes outright disappointing) material. | Point1
06.07.15 | what about those tshirts | PunkMoon
06.07.15 | God, could we please get some fuckin' t-shirts. | Titan
06.07.15 | 'Because they openly want to be the biggest rock band in the world'
they are though, along with the Stones | PunkMoon
06.07.15 | I'm not saying that they're not, but I think it's the openness of their desire that turns people off. They also want to remain relevant, they want every release to set the world ablaze. The Stones have quietly settled into being a legacy act, U2 has openly said they don't want to do that. |
