BandNewbac
07.28.15 | But the lack of iceage hurts, best PP revival band around right now |
InfamousGrouse
07.28.15 | nope that's either viet cong or the soft moon |
BallsToTheWall
07.28.15 | Nice list. Throw in Night Sins tho. |
BandNewbac
07.28.15 | ^yes |
BandNewbac
07.28.15 | The Sods as well |
AnimalsAsSummit
07.28.15 | youth of america is 1 of the best albums ever nice |
BandNewbac
07.28.15 | Savages - silence yourself |
BandNewbac
07.28.15 | holograms |
InfamousGrouse
07.28.15 | Holograms are merely alright. Savages have a few really fantastic cuts and promise but they don't merit their praise. If they continue down the route of Fuckers/Dream Baby Dream, I'd count them among the better post-punk outfits going around today for sure.
No idea who the Sods are. |
BandNewbac
07.28.15 | i like their first album but not their second. dude listen to The Sods - under en sort sol. they are a Danish post punk band from the 80's. |
InfamousGrouse
07.28.15 | I'll give it a spin. Been revisiting postpunk favourites over the last month or so. |
Cygnatti
07.28.15 | except that iceage, women, holograms, viet cong, and soft moon are not post-punk revival. they're post-punk in the 21st century. |
tnetennba
07.28.15 | the national is purebred post-punk tho. |
deathschool
07.28.15 | Nice list, but where is Talking Heads? |
Ocean of Noise
07.28.15 | National have post-punk elements as well as indie and americana elements |
BandNewbac
07.29.15 | you make a valid point Cygnatti, i'd definitely say women and iceage are innovating more than most but i'd definitely argue that Holograms are pretty straight revivalists. |
InfamousGrouse
07.29.15 | It's not really a question of innovation |
