LepreCon's Top 10 Games/ Albums of 2015

In the title, I list my top 10 games of the year alongside my Top 10 albums so as to construct the list in the first place. Purely my own opinion so this list is empirical fact. What is NOT in the list- Destiny: The Taken King- because Destiny is still SHITE though not as shite as it used to be; Star Wars Battlefront- because it is a steaming pile of wank; Rainbow Six: Siege- because fuck it right in its arse; Evolve- because it is shit and Assassin's Creed: Syndicate- because it was okay nothing special but not shite either
1Paradise Lost
The Plague Within

Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain
Almost everything about this game is amazing, from the mournful opening to the satisfying conclusion, Hideo Kojima's final (?) foray into the MGS universe is easily the best MGS and the best game of the year.
2Motorhead
Bad Magic

Bloodbourne
Fiendishly difficult and immensely rewarding, just as I like my Souls games... though it technically isn't even a Souls game but is highly similar.
3Kendrick Lamar
To Pimp a Butterfly

The Witcher III: Wild Hunt
Thrilling and beautiful conclusion to the trilogy, Geralt of Rivia goes open-world (almost) bringing the majesty of the previous games to a whole new level. As a huge fan of the Witcher series since Day One, Wild Hunt is as satisfying a conclusion as I could ever hope, but with plenty of scope for future installments.
4Faith No More
Sol Invictus

Everybody's Gone to the Rapture
Not a bullet or killstreak in sight, just a very well-crafted, emotionally-engaging and thought-provoking story.
5Nightwish
Endless Forms Most Beautiful

Tales From the Borderlands
Telltale Games take on the unique and zany universe of Gearbox's Borderlands and the result is a side-splittingly hilarious romp of pure mayhem. Seriously, you'll never look at games the same way again after THAT invisible gun battle.
6Amorphis
Under the Red Cloud

Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection
Okay so it's a collection of remasters but they just so happen to be three of the best games from PS3, upscaled and now at 60 frames per second. If you never played them and own a PS4 then this is essential. Even if you already played them on PS3, they're well worth another go around.
7Bob Dylan
Shadows in the Night

Batman: Arkham Knight
Okay so it wasn't the perfect conclusion to Rockstar's stellar Arkham series that we all hoped for, but there's no denying how awesome the Dark Knight looks on next gen (unless you play PC only, of course). Sure, the identity of the titular antagonist was no surprise and spawned an incredibly annoying meme, but the fluid combat, excellent Joker segments and the Batmobile (yes, I LOVED the Batmobile) make AK perhaps not the Batman game we deserved, but the one we needed right now.
8Symphony X
Underworld

Fallout 4
Okay so the hype may not have been exactly lived up to but that's perfectly fine because honestly we should be grateful to have a new Fallout. With plenty to do and lots of fun to be had, I've put in 50+ hours already and am still nowhere near finished.
9Bjork
Vulnicura

Mortal Kombat X
Guts, gore, bewbs.
10Stratovarius
Eternal

Rise of the Tomb Raider
Guts, gore, bewbs... again.
