| Om: Advaitic Songs
First album in my latest list series thingy. Basically picking an album I've never heard before to listen to for a few days and then giving my thoughts on it once Its had time to sink in, then moving onto another album. These lists aren't going to be super well written or anything, I just thought it would be a fun way to make finding new music interesting for me. The lists will usually just be the most recent album with my thoughts about it, and then 4-5 albums I'm thinking of checking next. | 1 | | Om Advaitic Songs
Never listened to this or any other Om before checking this out. I am a fan of Sleep though, so that's sort of what I expected coming into this album, obviously it's totally different however. I really like the sound, feel, and themes on this album, but I think the overall content is just a bit shallow. I really like droning atmospheric albums, but I feel like this one could have offered a tad more. That being said its still a great listen if you're in the mood for it.
I give it a 3.5 after like 5-6 listens in the past few days. Probably something I'll listen to on occasion when I'm in a more mellow mood. | 2 | | Warning Watching from a Distance
The rest of the albums on this list are albums I'm thinking of checking next | 3 | | Sweet Trip Velocity : Design : Comfort | 4 | | Cult of Luna Somewhere Along the Highway | 5 | | Uncle Acid and The Deadbeats Blood Lust | |

02.27.16 | What do you think I should pick next? Lemme know. It doesn't have to be one of the 4 listed, those are just what I'm thinking of doing next for now. | Keyblade

02.27.16 | Watching from a Distance is one of the best albums of all time, you need it in your life. | Archelirion
02.27.16 | I've not heard the others, but 2 and 4 are both exceptional (especially 4, which is nigh-on flawless post-metal).
And yeah, Watching From A Distance is sooo bleak, but amazing. | MotoOnSputnik
02.27.16 | I think I'll go with Watching next, Advaitic made me crave some heavier more traditional doom which I haven't rocked in a while. | chemicalmarriage
