The Clover Approved Jim Jam Jems Vol. 1
Welcome to the triple J, the part of the show where I rec you some jimmy jam jamming gems that jam. |
1 | | Holy Ghost Tent Revival So Long I Screamed
[Bluegrass] Arguably the the most fun you will ever have with a blue grass record. Outstanding group vocals and amazingly catchy wind arrangements give this album such a killer groove. Don't sleep on this 100% certified jam.

2 | | Terry Scott Taylor Neverhood Songs
[Mouth Noises/Folk] The soundtrack to the underrated classic Neverhood, this album would be the love child of Grant Kirkphobe (Banjo Kazooie series) and Mike Patton if they formed a folk group. So weird, yet so, so fun.

3 | | Akara The World Beyond
[Downtempo/Electronic/Neo-Classical] Some gypsy hippy wonky tonky bs with nice, dreamy vocals and orchestral arrangements that pepper the electronic elements ever so lightly for a great electronic record.

4 | | The Divine Comedy Regeneration
[Baroque Pop/Rock] Such an incredibly catchy record with some killer pop riffs and hooks under an amazing vocal/guitar performance. Bad Ambassador will be stuck in your head forever.

5 | | Flue Vista
[New Wave] One of the forgotten almost-classics of the new wave/post punk scene. A cold and chilling atmosphere with chilling synths and a nice orchestral arrangement to make it a great, under appreciated record.

6 | | Arcana (USA) Arc of the Testimony
[Avant Jazz] Absolutely insane jazz record that doesn't take long to go off the wall into insanity with brutal guitar leads and constantly anxious and every suffocating wind sections. So good.

7 | | ALL Allroy's Revenge
[Pop Rock/Pop Punk] Don't let the archaic production turn you off, Allroy's Revenge is an amazing record from one of the genre's most under-appreciated acts. Incredibly fun basslines and catchy riffs with a vocalist who almost matches Goldfinger's vocalist. Fun times all around.

8 | | Hasil Adkins Out to Hunch
[Rockabilly/Outsider] This guy is so incredibly insane and I love it. Never has there been a record that has done a better job at showing one man just sitting in his room going completely crazy and having a grand ol time. Either from his absolutely nonsensical lyrics or the hilarious high pitch laughs her makes, or the gritty drum beats he lays out in songs like Rockin Robin, they all make this lil gem great. Production is non existent but thats OK because this is way too fun to even care.

9 | | Me Like Bees The Ides
[Indie Rock] Modest Mouse with more pop sensibilities and more "hardcore breakdowns". They have such a nice, warm aesthetic and some incredibly catchy hooks reminiscent of a Crowded Wild West/Good News hybrid. Seriously underrated band.

10 | | Amigo the Devil Diggers
[Murder Folk] Never has mutilating and wearing the skin of your victims been this classy. Amigo muses with the mindset of an infamous serial killer, one Mr. Ed Gein, as he juxtaposes thematics of self realization and love with the topics of body horror and insanity for one of folk music's greatest oddities and jammiest jams.
