TumsFestival
06.08.16 | these are the definitive 75 best movies ever certainly not just my opinion so don't act like it's just this Car's opinion of movies this list is THE list |
Trebor.
06.08.16 | Some great shit like Blue Ruin, but some questionable shit like Gone Girl and Spider-Man |
Trebor.
06.08.16 | You got Anomalisa but no Synecdoche, New York wtf |
TumsFestival
06.08.16 | I dug Synecdoche quite a bit, and I of course love Charlie Kaufman's work, I just thought Syne was a bit too depressive and self-indulgent for its own good. Great film though. Anomalisa I love more as a technical marvel. |
Trebor.
06.08.16 | I love depressive and self indulgent stuff lol
Serious question, what do you see in Gone Girl? |
TumsFestival
06.08.16 | I do too, I just thought it was a bit much ahah. If it were about 20min shorter I think I'd like it a ton more
also with Gone Girl, terrific directing, great acting, engaging story, idk. I have a movie-buff friend who hates that movie too I get why people don't like it, I just connected really well to it i guess aha |
Trebor.
06.08.16 | Fair enough, I just feel like it completely fails as a thriller, I saw every twist and turn from a mile away, I didn't like any of the characters, in terms of directing and cinematography I felt like it was really low tier Fincher, and also Prisoners came out like a year before and really set the bar for thrillers |
TumsFestival
06.08.16 | that's true actually I was really into Prisoners, it dragged a bit in the middle to me though. That director wrote/directed Enemy and is teaming up with Gyllenhaal for another movie so that's exciting |
Trebor.
06.08.16 | Enemy rocks and Sicario was really good too. He's doing new the Blade Runner so hopefully it won't be shit |
CaimanJesus
06.08.16 | Tucker and Dale vs. Evil is legit. |
NLD
06.08.16 | 5 is my all time favorite, nice to see it so high |
TumsFestival
06.08.16 | Happy to see it just made it to Netflix NLD, hopefully more people see it |

Good nice list otherwise, plenty of these I should check. |
TumsFestival
06.10.16 | I love Ex Machina, a bit soon for me to consider for a best of all time list. Mainly because of the ending (if i were the helicopter pilot I'd probably have some questions for her) |
porcupinetheater
06.10.16 | Watch some movies outside the English language. |
TumsFestival

theBoneyKing
06.10.16 | Nice!
I mean it's obviously not actually the goat movie (though it is one of my favorites) but it's pretty fucking hilarious. |
Titan
06.10.16 | 24 has got to be my favorite horror movie ever.....so much darker than the sequels that followed |
TumsFestival
06.10.16 | yeah titan Wes Craven knows how to make a damn good horror film. The practical effects in that film are spectacular |
Titan
06.10.16 | i enjoy Dream Warriors immensely as well, cheese and all |
TumsFestival
06.10.16 | actually haven't checked Dream Warriors, made it through like 15 minutes of the second one and was very much not into it ahah |
EyesWideShut
06.10.16 | dude you need some more 90's clossics like Starship Troopers, Wild Things, Miami Blues, Home Alone, Life, Private Parts, White Men Cant Jump, The Craft, Showgirls... |
jtswope

TumsFestival
06.10.16 | Thanks man! And yeah Ex is super great, I'll have to give another watch and decide from there |
DungeonBoy
06.10.16 | Another bogus list without Home Alone. Cinephiles, such as myself, have no time for these amateur lists. |
TumsFestival
06.10.16 | Hahahahah |
TedSchmosby
06.10.16 | Adaptation is suspiciously absent.. |
TumsFestival
06.10.16 | Oh you know what while I was switching around the order in my notes I forgot to add that one back... It was around the 40 mark though. Fantastic film |
Crymsonblaze
06.10.16 | 21 is my favorite movie. 4, 12, 24, 42, 43, 51, and 57 would all be in my Top 10-15~ also. Rest of list is either stuff I really like or stuff I haven't seen. Great list. Although list definitely needs the original Die Hard somewhere on it for sure. |
TumsFestival
06.10.16 | yeahhh BttF is a classic. I'm in the minority that likes the sequel more though |
Crymsonblaze
06.12.16 | Part 2 is great too! I even love Part 3, to a lesser extent though |
TumsFestival
