06.28.16 | familiar with a couple of those (especially Math's debut, yikes it's so good). will check the others, thanks mate |
DanielNightLewis

Evanpowers
06.28.16 | I Pilot Daemon - Come What May
Envy - A Dead Sinking Story
Pianos Become the Teeth- The Lack Long After |
hesperus
06.28.16 | the thrill of living by mimisiku just came out this year. it's not really screamo, more on the jimmy eat world/world is a beautiful place side of emo, but it's awesome and it has too few ratings and i'm gonna keep stubbornly recommending it to people until it catches on. (also i just copy/pasted this paragraph from another thread)
other stuff closer to the screamo stuff on yr list:
orchid (pretty much their entire discog) is obvious but essential and you don't have any of their shit rated so get on that
kidcrash - jokes
capsule - blue
the saddest landscape - you will not survive
ampere - all our tomorrows end today
sailboats - demo
loma prieta - last city, life/less, i.v.
in first person - lost between hands held tight
daitro - laisser vivre les squelettes
quiet steps - think aloud
bucket full of teeth - iv
akephal - s/t
jr ewing - ride paranoia |
hesperus
06.28.16 | also idk if you already knew but the blue letter released an album back in 2012 that everyone slept on and it's killer |
DanielNightLewis
06.28.16 | capsule are so, so good. |
50iL
06.28.16 | The Arrogant Sons of Bitches - Three Cheers for Disappointment
Fantastic emo/ska/punk record. |
MotokoKusanagi
06.28.16 | blue is indeed a masterpiece
also didn't know The Blue Letter had a '12 release, going to listen now. i see that they also released it on vinyl, may snag |
MotokoKusanagi
06.28.16 | 50iL not sure if you are trolling but that is a good album, also not the type i'm looking for |
50iL
06.28.16 | I'm not trolling. Sorry for not giving you something you're searching for. Maybe next time, I guess. ;) |
DanielNightLewis
06.28.16 | Ever checked out much Japanese screamo outside of Envy? Zdzis Law (https://zdzislawkyoto.bandcamp.com/album/untitled) are amazing. As are Killie, who did a really under appreciated split with Off Minor. |
Evanpowers
06.28.16 | Few more:
Wow, Owls! - Pick Your Pattern
Joshua Fit For Battle- To Bring Our Own End
Raccoon City Police Department - Nightlife |
MotokoKusanagi

thanks evan, that joshua album rules will check the others |
MotokoKusanagi
06.28.16 | hesperus, the 2012 Blue Letter release is pretty good but they definitely changed up their style. much more sludge / metal |
YakNips

TVC15
06.28.16 | United Nations - s/t

MotokoKusanagi
06.28.16 | also hesperus, "orchid (pretty much their entire discog) is obvious but essential and you don't have any of their shit rated so get on that"
this is an alt of a long time sputter :) |

06.28.16 | ^ excellent call |
DanielNightLewis
06.28.16 | There's a pretty great screamo scene in the UK at the moment, there's been some great US and euro bands come over the last few years and it seems to have sparked us in to life as a scene.
Spain seems to have more than a few bands worth checking out too which to me doesn't seem at all obvious. I suppose that's me pushing my own preconceptions on their scene. |
Artuma
06.28.16 | spain seems to be the only euro scene that's somewhat thriving these days. it's quite sad to see france is pretty dead right now
don't know much about the uk scene but thanks a lot for the recs daniel, will give a listen to some of the bands on your list |
DanielNightLewis
06.28.16 | France is weird, a lot of the new bands seem to break up pretty quick and mostly just copy what the French scene was known for first time around.
Sweden has a lot of good bands, I'd say their scene is comparable with Spain. Germany also has a lot of good screamo bands too as well as their classics. Russia seems to be where it's at though, loads of good bands are coming out of there these days. |
Artuma
06.28.16 | yeah germany and russia are both quite productive but the great/mediocre bands ratio doesn't seem to be as good imo |
DanielNightLewis
06.28.16 | I think you're right. That said, with there being more bands, there is more chance of something truly excellent coming from either country which makes it worth putting up with the odd dud if it means bands like Republic of Dreams and Smile to the Wind come in to existence because of it. |
Artuma
06.28.16 | that's true |
G0atC0re
07.01.16 | Takaru |
MotokoKusanagi
07.02.16 | good rec goat, already have There Can Be Only None, its good stuff |
