Bands I've Seen Live
Like this list hasn't been done before |
1 | | Fall Out Boy From Under the Cork Tree
This was my first concert. I was about 8 and I went with my sister and my dad. We had lawn seats. Also includes the next two bands. I can't remember a lick of it. |
2 | | Panic! At the Disco A Fever You Can't Sweat Out |
3 | | Blink-182 Enema of the State |
4 | | Hum Downward Is Heavenward
Saw these guys at Riot Fest last year. Next few bands I also caught at Riot Fest. I was really into Hum when I saw them (basically went for them) and they did not disappoint. I Hate It Too was just as good as I had hoped. 4/5 |
5 | | Have Mercy The Earth Pushed Back
This was one of the most fun and emotional shows I've seen. Loved it. 4/5 |
6 | | Foxing The Albatross
They were quite kickass live. Cool to see him do the trumpet stuff. 3.5/5 |
7 | | Tenacious D The Pick of Destiny
Caught about 10 minutes of their set and it was honestly pretty fun. 3/5 |
8 | | Modest Mouse The Lonesome Crowded West
Only caught a bit of these guys, sadly enough. 3/5 |
9 | | Bane Holding This Moment
This was my first hardcore show and I did not know what I was getting into. Sadly, didn't actually get to catch these guys (so technically shouldn't be on this list, but whatever), but I did see a few others. Went to this show in about May of '15. N/A |
10 | | Power Trip Manifest Decimation
They were a lot of fun. 3.5/5 |
11 | | Backtrack Lost In Life
Despite going for Bane, I liked these guys. 3.5/5 |
12 | | Malfunction Locals Only Demo
They were okay 2.5/5 |
13 | | Napalm Death From Enslavement to Obliteration
Saw them with the next few. I accidentally crowd surfed during their set and it was amazing. One of the best experiences of my life. Saw these guys a few months ago. Got Apex Predator on vinyl there, very last copy at the show. It was the record on the table. 4.5/5 |
14 | | Melvins Bullhead
Seeing these guys was a religious experience. I cannot explain it. They are SOOOOOO much better live. I cannot emphasize that enough. If you get the chance, see them. It's other worldly. The pit was actually pretty intense, almost more so than ND. 4.5/5 |
15 | | Melt-Banana Scratch or Stitch
These guys were weird and I had never listened to them, but they were good weird and a lot of fun. Very interesting. 3.5/5 |
16 | | Nails You Will Never Be One of Us
Saw these guys with the rest of the bands listed. They were a ton of fun. Went with my friend, who is a Nails superfan. He loved it. This fat black guy next to us loved it even more. Took off his shirt in the first 5 minutes. He stage dove once but no one tried to catch him. Many lol's were had. Some guy tried to take a selfie on stage with Todd and he took his phone and almost threw it. More lol's. 4.5/5 |
17 | | Eternal Sleep The Emptiness Of...
Sounded decent on record, sounded like every other hardcore band live. Disappointment. 2/5 |
18 | | God's Hate Mass Murder
Surprisingly pretty decent. Definitely better live. Nice mix of hardcore and dm. 3/5 |
19 | | Full of Hell Roots Of Earth Are Consuming My Home
Okay hOlY sHiT, these guys were amazing. I went 60% for these guys and 40% for Nails, but FoH stole the show. I didn't think they could do what they did on record live, but they do and they do it better. They did a ton off of the Merzbow collab (my favorite) and it was amazing. No joke, Dylan points right at me and says "This one is for you" and plays my favorite fucking song. Not only that, he put the mic in my face and let me scream. His stage presence is unreal. Definitely on par with Jacob Bannon. He was a beast. I also got the set list for the night. Best concert experience of my life. 5/5. |
