14Tangled Hair
First

Okay first things First. Tangled Hair had to pull out (once again) but for fair reasons, drummer Trood has ongoing issues with his arms. Health comes first of course, but so upsetting that these guys couldn’t play (once again). Would have been one of the best.

Bosh!

Last show, great riffs.
12La Dispute
Rooms of the House

Lots of Rooms of the House, which I’m totally cool with. Both Woman tracks (amazing). Not much vibe though. None of their early stuff.
11Yndi Halda
Under Summer

Been waiting to see these guys since they released EEB, but they took so long to do anything else that my attention long dwindled. Great sound nonetheless, if a bit well-to-do on stage (haha I’m an asshole). They finished their set by slowly going into the crowd and forming a circle in which they all rung individually pitched bells in each hand to form a complete melody. Pretty lush.
10Caspian
Tertia

Never liked this band and didn’t see them but heard them from the tent and they actually sounded immense.

The tekkers on these guys. Always fantastic, great setlist but didn’t play Left Aligned or If I Sit Still… but to be fair they played both of those when they were at this fest two years previous so can’t complain.
8And So I Watch You From Afar
And So I Watch You From Afar

A band I never listen to in my spare time but totally appropriate and unbelievable show. Lighting dude killing it. Humble guys, awesome music, made me dance my ass off. Kept me warm.
7Mono
You Are There

Best experienced st0ned out of yr mind. Always good to see MONO.
6American Football
American Football EP

Fucking emotional. Genuinely right in the feels. Ended up watching on my own, probably should have stood with my ex for this one for reasons but I think I woulda bawled my eyes out so probably a good shout being on my own for that one. Nice one man. Saw them earlier this year and this show improved on their performance ten-fold. No new songs. Opened with songs from the EP and I was the annoying one singing along to all the words from it.

Brother, Sister

my dudes. Always good, played a little too early for my tastes but still great. They played Aubergine ha ha ha. Set list coulda been better but Torches, Silencer, YELLOW SPIDER(!!!), Nice and Blue pt. 2, Foxes Dream… okay so actually the setlist was pretty awesome.
4Owen
The King of Whys

One of the weekend’s best. Holy shit I was so stoked to see this performance and he delivered. Funny as hell, shotgunned some dude’s beer and played Bird In Hand, Sad Waltzes, Playing Possum + The Desperate Act. Holy shit I love all those songs. Made me v happy inside.
3toe
The Book About My Idle Plot on a Vague Anxiety

Just as amazing as we all thought they’d be. The sweetest sounds, absolutely glorious. My homie cracked me up by saying the guy should not sing though; he’s probably right. Coming up on the lucy.
2Meet Me in St. Louis
Variations on Swing

Oh my god this fucking band. Only At the Drive-In comes close in terms of energy and deliverance. They were on FIRE. Toby just killing every word. Made me relisten to all their shit with new found appreciation.
1Godspeed You! Black Emperor
'Asunder, Sweet and Other Distress'

Well. My favourite band in the world, this being the fifth time I’ve seen them. Holy shit. It was the best time I’ve seen them. They made the clouds go insane and the moon was just perfect. The stars literally aligned. I can barely remember their setlist, I remember BBF3 pretty well though and Peasantry Or 'Light! Inside Of Light!'. They summoned something maaaan. I swear it on my soul. I wish you could all have seen and felt it. God bless LSD. Peace
