Growing Up on Sputnik

So apparently, in my somewhere-around six years on this site, I'd posted over a hundred lists. I assumed this was normal. I couldn't even begin to recall what the themes of even half these lists were, but I figured they weren't completely pointless. Then I went back and looked at a few of them. Good lord. The pointlessness was awe-inspiring. Not to mention like 3/4 of them are made up of the same fifty albums. It just got me thinking about the way I looked at sputnik back when I was 14-16; how self-conscious I let it make me, and how asinine were these hunts for validation I'd always be on. Here's to growing up and letting go of silly obsessions. List is albums I adore now that I probably would've never considered back in my "Albums I Shall Next Acquire" (But Didn't) days.

Like seriously, I didn't even recognize the person making some of these lists. Talking about drugs as often as possible? To look cool for a crowd of people you'll never meet? That kind of thing seems far from me now. I hope, anyway. I'll still make lists about tripping prolly if it's based on a specific occasion, but no more of this passive "not super into this album yet but i think i will be once i do it with lucy" shit. Like ugh.. the cringes
