tbh I love the series (mainly the art). I didn't get into anime/manga as much as I could've but it was on adult swim at the right time in life and went from there. I agree the writing fell off hard at a certain point, it was trapped in shounen/magazine bullshit. I did read the last arc. It was so long, I think that's what did it in. It had decent pace and here&there but the ending was bullshit. once again the antagonist was so OP they came up with nothing to end him except with one stupid slash. so many characters left behind too. |

11.04.16 | I haven't read this series in a long long long long fucking time but I did read the last chapter out of curiosity and it didn't seem like the worst thing in the universe, just really generic (but again I have no real context for it since I didn't read the last several arcs), although I did think that some of the life choices he went for were dumb as fuck - Like, if memory serves right the Ishida guy said he didn't wanna be a doctor and be as far removed from his father as possible and yet he's a doctor now? didn't Chad said he didn't wanna use his powers to harm others and yet he's a boxer now? lollll
I stopped reading Bleach around the time he stopped doing backgrounds, the art just became so bland and the series in general wasn't as good as before either. And I was really surprised when I found it only just ended recently, I was convinced it had ended when I was told Aizen was killed. I've no idea why he'd continue the series after that |
