TVC15 11.17.16	I've only recently become aware of this movie so I only know some of the basics of it. This thread should only just serve as a place to talk about the movie in a more appropriate place

TVC15 11.17.16	I expected that it being a bio-pic it would be labeled a drama but a thriller?... Huh Still, the actors of Dead and Euronymous seemed to do a fantastic job in the ManUNkind music vid so I hope they put up a great performance in the final product

SCREAM! 11.17.16	I'll undoubtedly watch it to see how it turns out but it will likely be extremely sensationalistic bs that will give the general public a completely skewed vision of what BM is and so I can't say I am looking forward to it. The fact that they picked a Jewish actor to play Varg is hilarious though so props for that

Alastor 11.17.16	I don't understand how a film like this can be made. None of the persons portrayed have granted their permission and some have spoken out against it openly (Varg, Fenriz). They neither have the moral nor the legal right to make the film.

Nazzadan 11.17.16	Just did some google-fu, and you can make a biopic about literally anyone you want without their permission, they can just sue you if you tell outright lies about them. I can already see Varg brewing up a nice big lawsuit if they portray his murder of Euronymous as anything other than self defense. Also yeah they are morally in the wrong to be making this when pretty much everyone who was asked about the book that was featured in the book said it was a load of shit.
TVC15 11.17.16	I really wonder how it's going to look and sound when/if it shows Mayhem or any other band perform live. Like it'll be hard itself to replicate the sound and vox but if they mime over the music then it'd be really weird because of how bad the quality would be
Nazzadan 11.17.16	They might do what they did in the music video and show the "live" performance from the point of view of an old camcorder, that way they could play Live in Leipzig audio without it feeling out of place.

TheSpirit 11.17.16	i read the book and like black metal, so i'll probably see the movie when it comes out. fenriz's opinion is a non-factor, because i'm pretty sure he'd hate most of the stuff i love anyway

I think his attitude and demeanor would fit great, he has a face to play one of these guys. Electrik Children was a pretty good one, I'd say he did a good performance in it. He plays a skater metalhead type in it too for comparison.
Nazzadan 11.17.16	According to Varg, who is a totally untrustworthy narrator imo, Fenriz was constantly drunk back in those days so everything could be completely fine and Fenriz could still not like it because his view on what happened could have been very warped

Nazzadan 11.17.16	Yeah, I'm inclined to believe Fenriz. To be fair though, him and Fenriz BOTH disliked the book, so it's fair to say this will be an entertaining work of fiction rather than an accurate recollection of events.

The guys from Joy Division said the bio-pic Control had inaccuracies but admitted the movie made it much more interesting than what happened in real life. I've been hoping this movie goes the same way, it largely sticks to what happened but with enough creative differences that does not completely interfere with the truth. Although Fenriz also panned Control so what do I know
Gmork89 11.28.16	The original black metal guys are mostly negative about everything, they would hate this regardless of who made it, who was in it, what it was based on. It could be written/directed by Dead and Euronymous' reanimated bodies in conjunction with Tarantino and Scorsese, Daniel-Day Lewis plays every character, and those guys would still denounce everything about it

TVC15 01.08.17	This Death Archives book by Necrobutcher sounds very interesting and it seems to be a much better document on Mayhem and second wave black metal than Lords of Chaos anyway from what I'm seeing. Shout out to a fellow black metal lover on Imgur for making me aware of this Fucking dammit the book isn't available anywhere in the US
