12.13.16 | yeah, just a few days before 2016, he was the starting point of this streak of sadness | MrSirLordGentleman

12.13.16 | @Jethro I found a site that compiled them, there were more than 30 musicians per month, I just picked the ones I felt penetrated the most in our hearts | Jethro42
12.13.16 | Oh boy, that's a big amount! 2016 arguably wins that sad record of artists who've passed away. Incredible year.
Nicely done, sir! | Joeman82
12.13.16 | Missing Lemmy, but still a great tribute list none the less. | brainmelter
12.13.16 | I didn't even know about 5 and 6 omg ;___; | anat

12.13.16 | :'-( | Divaman
12.13.16 | Ironic. I actually started to make a similar list two days ago -- then when I saw how many musicians from bands who have pages on Sputnik actually passed this year, I gave up.
I found this blog that gives a more complete list of musicians, well-known and not-so-well-known who died in 2016. (It's a little overwhelming).
Thank you, MrSirLordGentleman for creating this list. | Asdfp277
12.14.16 | add the riverside guitarist, sir MrSir :[ | Jethro42

12.14.16 | This is really a very sad list. Thanks for your tribute and memory of so many great artists. God bless you, man. I really hope that the next year don't brings to us so fucking things. | deathschool
12.14.16 | We're gonna get you back for this, 2016 | Divaman
12.14.16 | Not to be depressing, but Anatelier is right. Unfortunately, we're at a point where all of the great artists of the '60s and '70s are up there in age, and even a lot of the '80s artists are getting pretty long in the tooth. All we can do is be grateful for the work that they've left us. | e210013
12.14.16 | I agree with Anatelier and Divaman. This is what we will expect us in the future, unfortunately. | Friday13th
12.15.16 | very comprehensive...I had no idea Tomita died...very sad :( | Jethro42
12.15.16 | Another one passed away this week-end. Christian Simard, founder, singer, and keyboardist of an important progressive rock band here in Quebec called Morse Code.
They are rather unknown here on Sputnik, but they had their glorious days in the 70's. ''La Marche Des Hommes'' is one of their classic albums. For those who dig Genesis. | Jethro42
12.15.16 | RIP | 50iL
