Good riddance to 2016-favorite records of the year

Lets face it 2016 was a terrible year for a variety of reasons. First, we had the deaths of various icons Like David Bowie and Leonard Cohen. It seemed that 2016 was the year the grim reaper seemed to be working overtime. Other artists that left us this year included Leon Russell, Alan Vega, Dan Hicks, Prince and just a few days ago George Michael. Then there were the other losses of 2016. We lost a television Dad and Mom, a great boxer, a princess and the first man to orbit the earth. It seems that every time I said that things could not get any worse another person whose music or films I admired past away. Of course the other big event that made 2016 such a crappy year was the election. This election had to have been one of the most bitter and divisive of my lifetime. It was the first election where I hated both candidates who I considered to be very egotistical. In my opinion the thing that both Donald Trump and Hilary Clinton had in common was that they cared more about the idea of being President then anything else. Of course, there was one thing that made this year of constant tragedy somewhat bearable and that was all the great music that came out. I have to say that 2016 was still a great year for new music despite everything else that happened. So, I hope that this list of my favorite albums of 2016 will pique some interest in people reading it to check out something that they might have missed. In conclusion, I bid a good riddance to this horrible year and hope that 2017 will be a better year for everyone
