01.12.17 | Sweet, I love 17 so so much. Never really got the praise of 7 or 28 personally, they're both pretty good but never blew me away | ScuroFantasma
01.12.17 | Some great picks in here, nice | Drifter
01.12.17 | Interesting to see 26 | rabidfish
01.12.17 | Steve Wilson AND TPaB???
Fuck no, get it awaaaay | GeorgeWBush
01.12.17 | m/ spicy list. | Snowdog808
01.12.17 | Some great choices, though I can't really say many of them took me by surprise for this site. The two choices you made for 21 are tied for my favorite birthyear albums, with another Dan Swano related album being my #3. | Rodstar
01.13.17 | Thanks for the comments all. I am only new to Sputnik (always wanted a music site that has a similar vibe to Letterboxd for film), so I don't really know what should be a ''surprise'' on this site. It was certainly fun to go back to go back through 30 years of music worship (I just turned 40, but started really becoming serious about music at the age of 10) and see what I might consider my favourite from each year. Some years of course had many competing for no#1 spot (particularly 2001/2002 which were big discovery years for me with Opeth, Tool, Porcupine Tree and Katatonia etc. becoming new fave bands!). | Sabrutin
01.13.17 | Great to see all that Ryche love, especially glad to see Promised Land too (that's a Sputnik surprise for example!). Props for Katatonia and dredg too | Dewinged
01.13.17 | Nice list man, glad to see a fellow 40ish (i am months away). Your picks from 19 to 22 could have been mine. Much love for The Gathering! Welcome to Sput. | Rodstar
01.13.17 | @Sabrutin - Thanks! Yes Promised Land has always remained my fave Queensryche album actually, maturity was reached on that album.
@ Dewinged - Thanks for the welcome mate. Am pleased to share the love for The Gathering, who remain a very special band to me, even without Anneke. | Sabrutin
01.14.17 | Oh that's really nice, most people here have (of course) Mindcrime as their favorite. For the record mine is Rage for Order, which is also my favorite album in general. I believe that the classic Queensryche line-up was progressive metal's Pink Floyd, and Promised Land is the best example in a certain sense. Anyway, a glance at my ratings should tell you how I function in the Ryche subject ahahah | Rodstar
01.14.17 | And the profile pic says it all Sabrutin! Empire doesn't rate as highly hey? | Rik VII
01.14.17 | So much great stuff, lovely
nice profile pic btw | Rodstar
01.15.17 | Thanks RikRoach7! Yes I am pumped up and ready for the return of Lynch to the screen in May! | Sabrutin
01.15.17 | "Empire doesn't rate as highly hey?"
Unfortunately not with me. But I don't have any particular beef against it. The more I add ratings on Sputnik, the more rigid I get at it. So I'd say it's doing pretty well. Actually, I consider it an excellent example of a commercial appealing album that doesn't sacrifice anything for its nature. Look at the production for example, the CD sounds very good! | DoctorDoom
01.15.17 | 89, 99 and 06 are where it's at. | Rodstar
01.15.17 | I hear you Sabrutin, it does strive for more commercial appeal, and rather successfully. A perfect sing-along album! | Rodstar
01.15.17 | Likeminded taste DoctorDoom! The Great Cold Distance is actually my favourite and most played album of all-time. | Trebor.
01.15.17 | you 5 way too many albums | americanohno
