2) used to use wmp until it fucked up so i use spotify (free) with a desktop ad blocker (https://www.ericzhang.me/projects/spotify-ad-blocker-ezblocker/) |

05.28.17 | I bought a old windows phone after being tired of using itunes, and use that as a MP3 player now and it's amazing, way better than a Ipod. I'm guessing it's how a zune used to be.
I get my music through bandcamp, and a lot of stuff through slsk. If i find something i enjoy i usually end up getting it on vinyl when i can.
I personally don't really like streaming because i don't like depending on having a phone or a internet connection to listen to it. Not to mention the fact a lot of stuff i listen to may never even be on a streaming site.

Demon of the Fall
05.29.17 | @Davil - yeah guess my life circumstances makes vinyl slightly more difficult, is vinyl with headphones any good?... could try that. I realise that's a ridiculous query. I always envisage vinyl being played without & I don't think that would work very often in my house, not at a high volume anyway. |
joesmoe4000
05.29.17 | don't mess with streaming services i listen to mp3s on my studio monitor headphones & when i have the house to myself i spin that vinyl & crank up the hi-fi analog stereo system pump up the volume! |

05.29.17 | also yeah, I use my 160 gb ipod classic if I go out/travelling. Wish it supported flac/extra space though. and some of my albums that were synced from itunes don't play properly anymore but it works amazingly well in conjunction with foobar |

05.30.17 | modded ipod classic and itunes
itunes sucks but it gets the job done i suppose |
impoppy
05.30.17 | 1. Pirating FLAC because it's insanely overpriced and I don't even feel slightly guilty about it. Shouldn't cost more when it doesn't cost anything extra to export a FLAC file over an MP3 file.
2. Itunes, Clementine, Fidelia, or Vox depending on the setting. |
literallyzach
05.30.17 | 1. iTunes because none of the korean or japanese music i listen to is on like any streaming service so i have to download it myself.
2. tidal for all my western music
3. vinyl, cassettes and CDs when im at home (in that order) |
Brostep
05.30.17 | when i'm not using spotify, usually google play music/soundcloud on the phone and itunes/musicbee on the comp depending on whether I'm using my mac or my pc. $2.50/mo for premium is too good a plan to pass up, though
also semi-related i'm working for amazon's digital music team this summer so i'm glad to see some folks use prime music haha |

05.30.17 | google play music is the best because it lets you upload your own music. spotify does not, so when spotify doesn't have something you want to listen to you're screwed. GPM letting you add your own music makes it a one stop shop. |
