One of my favourites is Noxious - И хлынет кровь. Awesome BM with a really cool album cover too. My current dig Moloch - Verwüstung is Ukranian, despite the German title. There's also Blood of Kingu from Ukraine as well, another side project of the dude from Hate Forest and Drudkh. Behemoth are pretty obvious but those guys rule, from Poland. Also Arkona - Goi Rode Goi is fantastic. Band rules hard AF. |

Edit: just saw your rec Scuro. Goi Rode Goi is good, but Yav is the best IMO. It takes the more progressive ideas from Goi Rode Goi and really blends them perfectly with the folk metal elements from previous releases. They rerecorded Vozrozhdenie in 2016, and if I had to recommend their best straightforward folk metal album it would absolutely be this updated version. Masha Scream is my hero and one of my favorite icons in the current metal realm. |
