Apart from a few great songs, it is pretty forgettable. Shame. | 3 | | Iced Earth Horror Show
I'm not a huge fan of Barlow's vocals and Barlow's time in Iced Earth in general, but there's no denying this is a damn good album. The songs are epic and heavy and really convey the dark, dramatic theme of the album. | 4 | | Opeth Blackwater Park
As with all Opeth albums, I have pretty much the same criticism - this album is sonically amazing but emotinally unimpressive. If I have to be technical, I would say this is one of their better ones (if not the best), but it still struggles to make me feel anything and all the songs here are still pretty much indistinguishable in the long run (even though each one on their own is pretty fantastic). | 5 | | Kreator Violent Revolution
Super awesome comeback albums by one of the titans of thrash metal. Here they present a unique and modern style combining thrash with melodic death metal and the result is superb. This one has some filler in it, but it's still a killer album overall. Like it a lot. | 6 | | Megadeth The World Needs a Hero
Sadly, this is a pretty boring album. | |
