Best Persona 5 Tracks
Spoilers! In honor of my hot new Makoto Niijima avatar, allow me to tell you my favorite 5 vocal and non vocal themes from this game. this is the first Persona game I have played and I absolutely adored it. Easily my GOTY (wayyy over the still great BotW) and I can't see anything (even the likes of Mario Odyssey, Sonic Mania, or Xenoblade Chronicles 2) changing that. List is music. |
10 | | La Dispute Rooms of the House
Vocals
5 Hoshi To Bokura To - not much to say about this one. I only heard it in full once. It's the credits theme for those who don't know and I absolutely loved it. More listens could really make it jump higher. |
9 | | Iron Maiden Powerslave
4. River In The Desert - I love how this track plays multiple times towards the end because it really is that good. I shouldn't be bobbing my head this much when fighting for my life. |
8 | | Bjork Vulnicura
3. Aria of The Soul - yes this song is in every game, but I heard it here first. Also didn't know if I should classify it as a vocal theme or not but here we are. Every time I go to the Velvet Room I anticipate this masterpiece of a track. The way it builds is so cryptic and beautiful. |
7 | | Lights The Listening
2. Last Surprise - this had to be here duh. One of the best battle themes in RPGs period. Literally can't get tired of it. |
6 | | AJJ Knife Man
1. Whims of Fate - GOD DAMN this track is so fun and takes place in the most fun Palace in the game. Possibly my favorite song in the entire game. I had such a blast getting through this one before the game took the turn of all turns. |
5 | | No Devotion Permanence
INSTRUMENTALS:
5: Price - Ark is realllly close to this. But the first version of Price is just so fun and original and it somehow fits this floating bank. Plus it is introduced around the time the best girl joins the team so there ya go. |
4 | | The Moms Buy American
4 The Day My Mother Was There - I actually appreciated this song much more after I beat the Palace. it has this really unique, almost relaxing vibe that definitely makes sense in a future proofed pyramid. |
3 | | Queens of the Stone Age Villains
3 Blooming Villain - An outstanding boss theme. It's epic and enjoyable and got me extremely pumped to fight the first boss. It's somber version, "Regret" also deserves a mention. |
2 | | Devin Townsend Project Transcendence
2 Jaldabaoth/Our Beginning - This is a final boss fight/theme done right. I was at this for like a half an hour (not super hard on Normal difficulty. It's a satisfyingly fair challenge.) and having this play the whole time made my last moments with this game's story worth it. The chorus is a delight. |
1 | | Mew Frengers
1 Life Will Change (Instrumental) - I prefer the instrumental. When this track plays in a palace when you are ready to take the treasure, you can tell these guys mean business. It oozes style and matches the theme of this game perfectly. Honestly, I want this as my life theme for whenever I'm about to do something cool. |
