rrr10: concept theatre

Butchie, flipper, monobrow Just got out of an Avatar live show (which was incredible btw) and am in the mood for some over-the-top theatrical music. For this round, I want an album that fits this criteria (I strongly recommend a concept album for this) and 1 video to represent their theatrical presentation. The video can either be a live video or music video and will be factored in in a yet to be determined fashion. It may or may not be a from the album you rec.
1 Avatar
Feathers & Flesh

Avatar is one of the most theatrical bands I know and this concept album plays to both their musical and performance strengths. UU, since you also love this album, this style may play to your strengths.

2The Tiger Lillies
Lulu: A Murder Ballad

The Lillies are another kind of theatrical band with very similar traits to Avatar in their presentation. Musically, they share nothing but they both have a knack for over-the-top performance. Butcher, I expect this example to play to your strengths.

3Jethro Tull
Thick as a Brick

The first two examples represent a similar kind of performance, tinted with an unsettling atmosphere. JTull on the other hand (mainly just Ian Anderson) put on a show in a more upbeat and playful way that isn't quite so creepy. Fripp, you may be familiar with this style.

4Genesis
The Lamb Lies Down on Broadway

Fripp: Video- Yeah, fog machines and a bit of tambourine choreography does not a theatrical performance make. It was semi interesting but overall not what I was looking for. After hearing the album, it leaves me even more disappointed because the performance could've been so much more. 2.5/5
Album- The overly convoluted lyrics forming a loose story that has fans arguing over the meanings? Check. That's probably something that would get UUs panties in a bunch but I dig. I agree this is the best Genesis album, but it's only a bit better than Nursery Cryme. It only has a bit of double album syndrome but it is surprisingly consistent throughout. It just doesn't have enough of the highs for me to bump it 4.2/5. Since this is a very theatrical concept album, +0.1=4.3/5
Overall: (.5*2.5)+4.3=5.55/7.5
New Score: 13
5Tom Waits
Blue Valentine

Butch: Video- This was actually pretty theatrical despite the minimalism. The act of lighting and smoking a cigarette during the performance along with the twisting convulsions Waits used to add emphasis were well used. I'm not sure how much I felt it actually matched with the music but this is definitely a performance style I like. 3.9/5
Album- I like the album alright. It has an interesting sound, but Waits' voice doesn't quite mesh well with me. It has a decent flow and the stories within the songs are pretty cool, but the tone doesn't change much throughout making it a tad boring. Waits' vocal stylings are pretty theatrical but the album isn't very theatrical itself other than that so no bonus or deduction. 3.7/5
Overall: (.5*3.9)+3.7=5.65/7.5
New Score: 19
After prog bump: 20
6Batushka
Litourgiya

Uni: Video- Strobe lights and costumes does not a theatrical performance make. I am disappointed in you Unique. This video almost put me to sleep and I just had 2 cups of coffee. 1.6/5
Album- Thank goodness these guys don't sound as bad in the studio as they did live. This album is actually a pretty well done piece of work. As with the Waits album, idk if I'd call it very theatrical but it's not missing anything terribly in that front so the score is as it is. 4.0/5
Overall: (.5*1.6)+4.0=4.8/7.5
New Score: 9.5
