12.24.17 | "where the hell is sad songs? should be number 3"
sad songs is a really good album and it's just wrong to not even have it here but lol it's not the 3rd best national |
Assemblage
12.24.17 | I didn't put their first two on here just because I haven't heard them in a long while and didn't want to just have them at the bottom. I'd say this is my most premature list, yes, but National is difficult to rank because each is so strong, and I have an affinity to Trouble Will Find Me probably more than most. I'm surprised Boxer is as low as it is, currently. |
Assemblage
12.24.17 | I should maybe add some info to my rankings next time, instead of dropping rankings illicitly, but I didn't think any of these would even get views, so I'm appreciative. |

12.24.17 | I guess I fucked this list up. Will have to re-evaluate when I give the early two records an extra listen |

01.30.18 | Got the adds in for you guys, though it does suck seeing S/T like last on every list. I feel pretty comfortable sticking with this to be honest. I moved Boxer to 4th just because I don't really see Sleep Well Beast surpassing it's longevity even though I love a lot of the atmosphere of it and Matt has some high points on that record, undoubtedly.
Trouble and High Violet are both the most personal to me, but again, Alligator is the uncontested diamond of their discography imo. |
