01.25.18 | I am actually being serious. I know it's hard to tell anymore. |

01.25.18 | Yeah im trying to get on their good side. I haven't played at all since they complained, and ordered 2 inch memory foam plus 8 inch high density foam to place under the entire kit, which should be a decent buffer to kill most of the vibration. Once that's in, I'll ask if they still hear it. Worse case scenario I can't kill the sound completely and I'll work out hours with them where I can play |

01.25.18 | You neighbor probably doesn't give a shit about you, just the noise you make. So don't give a shit about your neighbor, fuck em', put a real drum kit up there. They can move. |
MO
01.25.18 | unless you get some serious sound proof flooring installed, I don't think there's much you can do to dampen the sound besides putting a lot of underpadding under the kit. kinda like a foam flooring tiles or something |

You're dampening the sound as much as you can with all these buys, I think you'll be fine |

01.25.18 | Thanks for the advice all. Especially you cold, who taught me a valuable lesson today |

01.25.18 | No problem : ) |

01.26.18 | There's definitely a joke here with drums and banging I could definitely effectively use |

01.26.18 | Guys change of plans, nebermind the sound stuff. How can I effectively bang my neighbors? |

Everyone loves yodeling. |

02.02.18 | I dont think anyone cares, but for anyone who's in a similar situation, I put together something that I think worked (I played from 7:30-9 and no complaints)
From top to bottom:
Got KT-10 pedals
Noise Eaters
Thin rug
2 4x4 MDF panels attached with 3 planks
10" memory foam topper (8" high density foam + 2" memory foam)
2 more 4x4 MDF panels
Small yoga mat
Thick area rug
I may have went a little overboard but hey if it works.. |

01.23.19 | I achieve such a meditative symbiosis with the drum kit that when I play, I float three feet off the floor along with the kit. Problem solved. |
greencorn5
01.24.19 | No you don't. |
MO
01.24.19 | do you have it on a mat? |
supremejelly
01.28.19 | Yeah, I had it on a rug, mat, and that ghetto foam topper setup I mentioned in my last comment. It didn't work 100% (neighbors complained still) so I gave up.
But I've moved to a different place with a concrete structure and haven't heard a complaint with this setup: yoga mat, thin drum mat, KE-10s and Noise Eaters. |

01.28.19 | Use soft mallet drumsticks. |
supremejelly
01.28.19 | Those would help with pad volume, but my issue was the vibrations of the kick pedal traveling to the floors below me |
