| Ultimate Machine Head Album
In light of their new album (lol), I thought that I would reflect on some of MH's quality music. This is a compilation concept for Machine head, which aggregates songs in a list while maintaining sequencing from each album's respective tracklisting. | 1 | | Machine Head Burn My Eyes
Davidian - no brainer, tbh. | 2 | | Machine Head Unto the Locust
Be Still and Know - This was tough, given it's competition (Old, Beautiful Morning), but the intro/outro tapping riff with Adam Duce's backing harmonies (which are sorely missed) make this song incredibly infectious. | 3 | | Machine Head The Blackening
Aesthetics of Hate - Amazing intro riffs, solos galore, and one of their angriest songs make this an undeniable staple of their discog. Goes hard. | 4 | | Machine Head Burn My Eyes
None but my Own - Creepy song, with one of the coolest thrash endings ever. Love the gritty vibes from this one. | 5 | | Machine Head Through the Ashes of Empires
In the Presence of my Enemies - Heavy, groovy, and the infectious solo placed in the middle of this song is a perfect core track to any MH album. The angry outro is also goes hard. One of the best songs on TTAOE. | 6 | | Machine Head The Blackening
Halo - just like Davidian, this is a no brainer. Solos, melodies, riffs - this one has it all. One of the best MH songs ever. | 7 | | Machine Head The More Things Change...
Bay of Pigs - Gritty, short, hardcore punk-esque track that brings great pacing to an extremely dark MH album. The More Things Change is super underrated, and this track does a good job of embodying the vibes found on that album. | 8 | | Machine Head Burn My Eyes
Blood for Blood - The fastest song on their entire discog, this song bring the T H R A S H hard. | 9 | | Machine Head Burn My Eyes
I'm Your God Now - Great variation on this song - Opens with interesting melodic licks, and quickly transitions into a post-thrash number. Bass outro is nice too. One of their darkest songs. | 10 | | Machine Head The More Things Change...
Blood of the Zodiac - Dark groove metal tracked littered with awesome melodies and a powerful vocal performance. Solo rules as well. | 11 | | Machine Head Through the Ashes of Empires
Descend the Shades of Night - An incredibly powerful song that closes TTAOE. The vocal harmonization is great, and the song bleeds with emotion, given that the band came close to ending during the recording of the song/album. The harmonized guitar solo adds to the emotion beautifully, in addition to the acoustic outro. | 12 | | Machine Head The Burning Red
The Burning Red - This is a controversial pick, but the t/t from The Burning Red is a great track. It's a borderline ethereal track with great layering of guitar melodies. Once again, there's a lot of emotion permeating from this song, which makes it an awesome closing track. | |

01.29.18 | so nothing from the new one then? | Shoegazefan9789
01.29.18 | Heavy Lies the Crown was a maybe, but I couldn't justify listing it over Descend the Shades of Night | pjquinones747
01.29.18 | I like this idea. I'm going to make a playlist of this on spotify and run through it as you have it ordered to see if i agree.
I'm not well versed enough in their discog to dispute much, however. | artiswar
01.29.18 | I would have gone with Beneath The Silt for #7. Bay Of Pigs is one of the weaker cuts from that album for me and you've got nothing from Bloodstone. | killerK1
01.29.18 | Where the fuck is Exhale the Vile | Shoegazefan9789
01.29.18 | Give it a shot man. This band's highs are really good - only problem is their lows. Can be pretty brutal | Shoegazefan9789
01.29.18 | Yeah, you're right man, forgot about Bloodstone. Sail into the black and Ghosts will haunt my bones are great tracks | killerK1
01.29.18 | also missing American High.
Nice list though, band has some great jams. | DarkSideOfLucca

01.29.18 | The only options to replace burning red is Take me through the Fire, Psychotic or something off of supercharger | artiswar
01.29.18 | Does anybody know what track 12 on Supercharger is? lol
I'm sure it's a banger | Shoegazefan9789
01.29.18 | Just looked it up, it's Trephination
