budgie 02.19.18	play on the slashdiablo private server for vanilla experience, it's populated enough, or the resurgence private server for a modded experience, less populated, but good community, and constant patching and updates
Astral Abortis 02.19.18	Diablo 3 does, it has the exact same grinding mechanics that can go on for eternity. But nah I'm not gonna join any Diablo 2 resurgence group. When I play it, I play alone.

hexfix93 02.19.18	Yeah it has the same grinding mechanics, but there's no trading and there's no real PvP, so the incentive to grind isn't there. I mean cool, my characters are getting stronger, but for what? And in that respect I would say it doesn't have anywhere near the replay value D2 has. But if single player is your thing, then yeah, I suppose it would have equal replay value. I never cared for single player though, I always played with friends and dueled and shit.

hexfix93 02.19.18	I played it at launch, and I tried RoS. It got better, the overall gameplay is really good and I like the skills and other things. But it's missing a lot of core elements that made D2 so enjoyable. I put a lot of hours into it then ended up just going back to D2, as did most of my friends.
Astral Abortis 02.19.18	"I mean cool, my characters are getting stronger, but for what?" Welcome to any grinding in any game ever, even D2. You're never getting stronger for anything but to kill more and loot more. There is no reward but the grind. The grind become god. @budgie: D3 fixed a lot of its most glaring issues with the Reaper of Souls expansion and brought it back into the scope of what Diablo should be. But when it comes to playing with friends, yeah not really my thing. I very rarely get into multi-player. The only three times I've ever been thoroughly invested in multiplayer with friends have been the Halo games, COD4, and Overwatch. All FPSs so my bias probably shows there. EDIT: oh you already mentioned you went back and tried RoS my b.
Gameofmetal 02.19.18	It was buggy at first and weirdly demanding of my pc setup considering it plays games like the witcher 3 at max settings, also a fair amount of obnoxious features that need tweaking but otherwise it’s insanely unique and fun. The level of immersion is pretty crazy, lot of people will find it tedious though

hexfix93 02.19.18	Well with D2 you're getting stronger for PvP, and the items you don't need you can trade them for what you do. I don't play single player so the grind itself really isn't enough for me if I can't trade or duel. Admittedly, it can be fun just to grind sometimes, but there's still more incentive for me to grind in D2 than in D3. Again, since you enjoy single player, you probably have a totally different perspective on it than I do.

TheGreatQ 02.19.18	It seems it’s not really to do with the graphics or anything, though, which is the weird part. It just happens at random for no obvious reason on all graphics levels, but it’s pretty rare. Rarer than getting hit while standing on a hill and then ending up floating five feet in the air.
Sinternet 02.19.18	Everything i've seen of it looks gorgeous and really realistic in terms of environment and world detail, though I have seen a ton of really strange bugs. Ill probably pick it up after a few patches.
