Modding the Wii was pretty easy so screwing around in Project M was always a blast. Absolute garbage competitively (if you exclude PM) but I put enough hours into it to get my money's worth.

^^^ That is my experience with Brawl. I played all the way through Subspace Emissary twice, and both times for other people. I didn't even own a Wii at that time. But competitively, it's molasses compared to Brawl, and Metaknight is so broken they had to ban his ass.
Smash 4, on the other hand, is incredible competitively. I watched the tournament at PAX South this year, and there were some hype moments, for sure. I'm really excited for the Switch Smash, whether it's a port or a brand new game (speculatively, I think it's a brand new game...if it was a port, why not just reveal the fact? Would they really make a logo teaser trailer if it wasn't a brand new game?). Should be good either way!
Finally...I'm happy you highlighted Octopath Traveler. It looks to be updating and refining the Bravely Default formula, which is good news! |

Pretty cool to see N Sane Trilogy get released on everything, even tho I 100%'ed all three games on PS4. Very excited for the No More Heroes game, such an underrated gem, and maybe with this new release hype he could get into smash |

I think it will be new given what we know. Nintendo were very confident that Bayo's final nerf was the end of updates for Smash 4. This new release is being worked on by HAL and Bandai Namco hasn't been mentioned anywhere. Sakurai mentioned that this one had also been in the oven for quite some time.
As for NMH, I'm not too sure with this one tbh. I recall enjoying the original games but this looks more like an arcade collection than a standard NMH game. Still curious about it though. |

03.09.18 | Yea Sonic has a very good matchup with Falcon, I don't run into too many Pikachu users so I haven't played the matchup too much, but I usually do well. I probably have a 60/40 ratio of using Fox and Sonic, I'm much better with Fox but some matchups require Sonic for his speed and power.
Honestly pretty hype for the Hyrule Warriors port, because like you said it was pretty lackluster on 3ds and could use the processing power of the switch. |

03.09.18 | Pika's quick attack helps a lot in the Sonic MU but that aside, t-jolt is his only real tool for zoning so it can be a shitty time. Fox can be an ass too because landing thunder becomes a mixup.
And yeah same man. I haven't given it much play time but the potential was there. Been hooked on Bayonetta recently but the Switch needs a good Warriors game for me to sink my teeth into. |
