03.16.18 | As a fellow Minnesotan, I can tell you that you definitely need Soul Asylum, The Hold Steady, Atmosphere, Doomtree family, etc on this. |
Drifter

03.16.18 | Marcy's Playground and the Hold Steady were formed in New York, but both have connections to Minnesota. I'm aiming for bands with an Origin in Minnesota. Thanks, for the recommendations Big Hans. I'll hold off on adding the MN Rap family though, since I'm more of a rock guy and that's what I'm trying to build the list around. I'll have to add Soul Asylum though. And Cloud Cult too. Just thought of them. Any other MN Rock recommendations are welcome. |

03.16.18 | And Drifter, as us Minnesotans would say "You betcha" to both of those questions. |
BigHans
03.16.18 | Well man, as for the Hold Steady, almost every song they have has a Minneapolis reference in it, especially the songs off Boys and Girls in America, their greatest album.
Just listen to the song Stuck Between Stations |

03.16.18 | Not sure if you like Pop Punk but Quiet Drive is from Minneapolis and they did a baller cover of Time After Time |

03.16.18 | Okay cool, I'll look into the Hold Steady and possibly add them later on. And YES, Quiet Drive, I remember them. I have heard that cover and I liked it a lot. Good recomendation. |
