06.15.18 | Exhale definitely grew on me from the first time I heard it, as did Flame. | tyman128
06.15.18 | I agree with all of this, but I think Exhale should be much higher. To me, it was a very good album that I thoroughly enjoyed. Also, where's Set It Off? | bentheREDfan
06.15.18 | So the reason that Set It Off isn't on the list is because it is such a sonic hodgepodge and with the exception of a few tracks is, IMO, out of place with the rest of TFK's discography. For me Phenomenon is where they really set in place the majority of the TFK sound (excepting, admittedly, the rapping/hip-hop). As for why Exhale is so low, some of the lyrics felt a little bit lacking, especially in comparison to efforts like TAOB and WTTM. Musically, it also isn't as diverse as TEIWWB, and it's a little bit bare bones for my personal tastes. I like rock/metal that has some bells and whistles, whether they be electronics/programming, strings, etc. , and efforts that were higher on the list incorporated said experimentation to a much greater degree. Thank you for reading Ty, glad we could discuss this. | tyman128
06.16.18 | Fair enough ben. I would agree that Set If Off is pretty out of place. If they had put Puppet on Phenomenon, that would easily make it my favorite album from them (Puppet is in my top 5 favorite TFK songs). I would probably put Exhale above TEIWWB, but not by much. |
